“Great hotel, stunning location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Just stayed for a week in September and it was exceptional.
Our first time in Jersey and Jane & Steve made us very welcome.
Lots of advice about where to go and what to do and even sorted out car hire for us.
All the hotel staff were very friendly and the food was very good.
Even posted my t shirt back that I left in the room!
Highly recommended.
Bob & Eileen

My husband and I had 4 nights at Windmills at the beginning of September. We really enjoyed our stay. Jane and Steve were wonderful hosts, their precence were felt everywhere. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. We sayed in room 4 which is a large spacious self contained apartment with fabulous views over the bay. We will return next year !! Can see why they have so many returning customers, who are all greeted as friends rather than guests.
I cant wait to go back !

Have made early season visits to Windmills in 2011 and 2012 and have already booked for 2013. In 2011 we were a large family group of eight; this year just the two of us. Fully agree about the staff, efficient, friendly and helpful, all you need. I'd agree about the pressure in the showers, (so have a bath!) but this isn't a hill of beans (as Humphrey Bogart might put it) compared to the very good things about this hotel. On our family visit, one couple had stayed in one of the higher 'star' rated hotels at higher expense the year before - and were delighted by Windmills. And, for the cynical amongst you, the view on the website IS the view from the rooms facing the sea, no innovative photography!

We stayed at the Windmills during early September, and had 10 days of sunshine to compliment that fantastic view. Jane and Steve have great teams, a good chef, excellent staff in the dinning room, as well as the reception and bar staff, not forgetting the staff you don't see who service the rooms. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Monica & Marion in the dining room and Marius in the bar where really helpful. A room with a view is a must. We will be back next year.

Room Tip: Try and book a Sea View, it makes waking up a pleasure.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

We stayed at the Windmills in August / September. Not bad, food very good, staff OK, waitning staff in restraunt very good. Only moan is you cant have a decent shower, cold water pressure is very low making for a very hot shower, which goes from cold, to burning hot as they are not thermostatic. I think this could be dangerous with young children and maybe they should be supervised when using. The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the bay. Our friends had to move room as there was a water tank in the roof which was making a noise all the time and at 6 in the morning they could hear people walking about above them, not good for a restfull holiday. They paid extra for an upgrade to a sea view, which we also had and there was no problems. I would suggest pay extra & get a room that doesnt have staff accomodation above. Would go back again no problem, hopefully they would have invested some money in the shower department.

Room Tip: Speak to the hotel and tell them you do not want a room with accomodation above, also not with water...

Thank you for your comments, we will look into the shower issue in that particular room. Water pressure may dip during the very busy times BUT I must correct the reviewer in that ALL our bath and shower mixers are Mira, thermostatically controlled mixers, we will be checking to see that all are functioning correctly. As mentioned in this review, we do respond to all guests requests/complaints, if any, during their stay and endeavour at all times to provide a comfortable Hotel. We are generally known as a quiet hotel in a peaceful location so we apologise if there was excessive noise at times during your stay, we will monitor that very closely. We are pleased that you enjoyed other aspects of the Hotel and you would consider returning. Thank you.

A fabulous 5 day break at the Windmills Hotel, excellent service , a wonderful view, a fantastic menu and even sunshine !,
A very relaxing time - lunch on the terrace, swimming in the pool , a view over the bay from the restaurant - and can't wait to return.
All of the staff are very friendly and helpful , a must for families, and friends .
Perfect !

Janice

Room Tip: A sea view room with a balcony - if possible
