“Somewhat confused identity in a lovely setting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

This I think is endeavouring to be an upmarket beach cafe. The menu is suggestive of such aspirations with good lunch time specials along with much more typical beach cafe fodder.
However, the place feels somewhat confused as the finishing touches are more reflective of a basic beach cafe. Overlooking the super beach at St Brelades it is a fine location with an extensive outside seating area the interior feels cramped and there is an elaborate awning adjoining the cafe which provides a further covered seating area.

The hard working staff are barely able to cope with the footfall at times which results in long queues on occasions.

“Honest food in lovely location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2011

We stumbled on this cafe. right on the beach at St Brelade's bay, during a brief visit to the island just before Christmas. On a stormy day at 11 o'clock in the morning, there were few visitors, but we received a great welcome and the coffee and cake were both excellent. We decided to go back for dinner the follow evening and did not regret the decision. My wife had black bream which was fresh from the sea and served on a bed of caramelised onions and red peppers. I had a Thai curry which was tasty and authentic. Again, the service was friendly and compared with other establishments in the area, prices were very reasonable. Last orders are at 8.45 p.m. and there is a free car park.

“Great for beach lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

Although there are often long queues for this popular beach cafe, it's really worth the wait as the food is very good.

“Great place on a sunny day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2011

Go on a sunny day and enjoy the food and views.

Its a simple place probably more cafe than restaurant so prices may look high but well worth it for the sea food salad and a glass of wine.
