“wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We had a excellent holiday at golden sands stayed here for five nights in September. Location is amazing our room had a wonderful sea view, room very comfortable its modern and fresh. we booked half board during our stay and had great food every night ,there was a choice of three different options for starter main and dessert but you can also choose from main menu if you wish some with a slight supplement. We had afternoon tea in Sands Café bar which was very nice. Also had breakfast room service on our last morning as we had a early flight ,this was continental option it arrived on time and was handy due to restaurant not being open before our departure. St Brelade Bay is a lovely location ,the beach is fantastic . We used the local bus service during our stay which we found to be very good ,the hotel has a timetable .We visited The War Tunnels ,Mansell Collection and island tour coach trip which were all very enjoyable. We loved our stay in Jersey and could not fault Golden Sands ,we will be returning in the future.

Our second visit to this hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the receptionists were particularly helpful. Good food and spectacular views from the front room we had at the hotel. This is a good base for exploring the island and St. Brelade's bay has an unbeatable large sandy beach.
We will be returning next year.

Room Tip: A sea view room is a must.

Good well located hotel, would benefit from parking arrangements whereby it was not necessary to have to start using pay cards at 8 a.m. Other than that, the hotel has all we look for for a weekend break.

We have just returned from our second visit to Jersey and this hotel. We arrived at the hotel about 9.30am and were not expecting a room to be available until about 2.00pm the usual check in time. We were both surprised and delighted to be told that our room was ready for us. When we got to our room we had an even bigger surprise. Our sea view room was actually a suite! We ate in the hotel and the food was of an exceptionally high standard. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The only downside to the holiday was the seagull who pinched my flake from my ice cream. We will be returning next year.

We have just returned from a 6 day stay here. Everything was just perfect, from the spotless balcony sea view room to the wonderful food in the restaurant and the staff who were always happy and willing to go out of their way to please you. Having read all of the excellent reviews we were not disappointed. It was a pleasure to wake up with the stunning view across the bay and the sound of the waves on the sand. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will most certainly return.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are well worth the extra cost.

Have just return from a five day break. We had a sea superior sea view room which was spotlessly clean an very comfortable. Waking up with sun shinning and the view of the beech was a perfect start to the day.

All the staff were always more than happy to go the extra mile. The restaurant is wonderful, all the meals we had where top class. Everything seems to be homemade including the jam and marmalade at breakfast.

Only one little issue. The sea view rooms are in the sun all day and even with the door open are very hot. Perhaps air conditioning needs considering. But one I did mention this a fan was found immediately.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are a must.

We have just returned from a 4 day break here - it was our first visit to Jersey and everything was just perfect. The hotel is just lovely - very tasteful reception, dining room and bar and the sea view rooms are a must if staying at this hotel. The food is second to none - from fresh lobster to fillet steak and the jersey desserts (white chocolate and ginger cheesecake!) are something else - The chef really takes pride in his menu and presentation.
We found lots of walks to go on - the coastline is stunning and the beach is a perfect lazy day, as its not too over crowded. There is also a lovely garen close to the hotel that the locals chill out on, and its lovely to watch all the locals walking their dogs on the beach in the morning. We found Jersey to be a very clean and tidy place. There was a party on the beach one night - some locals and this was a bit noisey - but they were enjoying themselves and in the morning they had left no rubbish at all, after all this is what a good beach is for - enjoying!!
The last thing that I can say about this lovely hotel is the staff - they were all very happy people and very attentive, they were a credit to the hotel. Thank you for a lovely holiday Golden Sands.

Room Tip: The bay is beautiful- so a sea view room is worth it.
