“'Traditional Caesar Salad'? NOT!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

We had a dressed side salad, grilled cheese and tomato bruschetta with balsamic dressing and garlic bread & cheese starters. The salad and bruschetta were tasty but although the garlic bread was a good portion, it was very greasy. Main dishes were spaghetti and meatballs - one was ordered as a small and one as a large - the difference between them was two meatballs and a bit more pasta - the difference in price sadly, was much more pronounced. Also, the cutlery failed to turn up. The 'Traditional Caesar Salad' was not all it was cracked up to be. We ordered with chicken option which arrived without chicken, we pointed this out and it was rectified. Although, the chicken was bland and dry and i have tried and tasted MUCH BETTER!

Also, one side of the menu was alcohol alone! no mineral water, soft drinks etc. were listed not acceptable for an establishment advertising itself as being child friendly.

Finally, it was hard to get anybody's attention to ask for the bill.

“Family friendly restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

With a decent soft play area, this place would be popular with families on a rainy day, even if the food was lousy. Thankfully, it isn't.

It specialises in wood-fired pizzas and rotisserie chicken. Both are good, though not superb. It's a big place, but it does get busy and noisy, with wall-to-wall children. If you're a childless couple seeking a romantic dinner a deux, I wouldn't suggest you come here. But if you want a place where you can relax over some decent food whilst the kids make friends, it's great.

One word of warning - you can't actually see the play area from the restaurant, and there's no room for adults to sit down in the play area, so bear this in mind if you like to keep your child in view at all times, or if they're particularly clingy.

“A little like”

a harvester but without the salad bar..A bit on the expensive side for what you get. Having said that, it was a busy place so maybe it just wasn't for me.

“Very good value”

We have returned twice recently especially for the rotisserie chicken. Good portion , succulent preparation with friendly and efficient service. (and at the right price). Family friendly and a spacious room in which to enjoy your meal.

we had Pizza, and Penne with chicken and courgettes in a creamy sauce. It was dry and we were not impressed. The staff were friendly though.
