“Fabulous spot, good for people watching”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Food was lovely, although one of the staff members was slightly rude, but apart from that, had a great experience there.

“The restaurant with a superb view!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

We were told to visit St. Brelade and upon parking the car, we walked across the road and saw a Pizza Express which we avoided and saw the Oyster Box and found a seat outside and ordered a bottle of champagne and enjoyed the view and the weather was awesome and made for a lovely afternoon. The staff were polite and attentive and the ambience of the restaurant was nice with a nice mix of clientele. We'll definitely be back!!

“Wonderful scallop starter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Delicious scallops with artichoke puree and coriander cress. Main course of pasta with lobster sauce was supposed to be "penne" but the pasta was more like macaroni (which I don't like) and the lobster was rather chewy. As a solo diner, I was given a table by the serving hatch without being offered any other option. That said, I'd recommend this place for an upmarket meal (though I preferred their next door operation, the Crab Shack).

“Fantastic seafood with a superb view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

The beaches of Jersey are breathtakingly beautiful, reminiscent of the glorious beaches of Brazil, minus the permanent sunshine. On a hot summer’s day Jersey beaches are world-class but even a visit to this small island, tucked away in the English Channel, during the winter is a rewarding break, as well as being an easy trip from London. With clifftop walks, an immense choice of beaches for relaxed strolls and quaint towns, Jersey is a charming place for a weekend visit all year round. As with most small islands seafood is the preferred food served in the majority of restaurants, and perhaps the Oyster Box is one of the best. The simple beach-themed decor is perfect for it’s setting overlooking the stunning vistas of St Brelade’s Bay, with it’s wide stretch of white powdery sand and turquoise water illuminated by the sun on a good day. This beach bar and restaurant serves simple but outstanding seafood and we enjoyed oysters and champagne to start, followed by delicious, juicy lobster cooked to perfection. If you are lucky enough to visit on a sunny day then there is outdoor seating, otherwise the huge windows will allow you to take in the natural beauty of the ocean from inside the Oyster Box. If you do visit on a cold, wet day then oysters, champagne and lobster at this wonderful restaurant will soon make you forget about the weather!

“Entirely satisfactory”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We enjoyed our meal here. Having previously eaten at the Crab Shack next door, we realised it was actually the same place, though perhaps a little further upmarket. Lovely views, nice food, good service - nothing to take issue with.
