Without a doubt this place has to be the most badly run hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in, we attended a wedding in the hotel and myself and all of my fellow guests seemed to have numerous issue's with the Hotel.

Myself and my Partner had booked a Garden suite 6 months in advance, having read reviews here we were slighty nervous and rightly so! In the week prior to the stay I was called 4 times to confirm my booking- this I can get over!! 2 days before we were meant to stay the manager called asking if we would be willing to share our Garden suite, I said under no curcumstanes- when we got to the Hotel they had without consent transferred us to a standard room in the hotel - fine!!! but upon check out they tried to over charge us tellong us that we did not qualify for the wedding rate as we had booked online and not over the phone!! I told them what exactly had happened they would not relent I was just lucky I had an email from the Mnager confirming the lower rate- otherwise it would have been a now go. a number of my friends had similar issue's. this place is a hole I would never receommedn anyone go there. the stay was more stressful than anything else. go there at your perrel

We stayed in the Castle Oaks Hotel for 3 nights and we couldnt have been looked after better.... This is a three star hotel and far exceeded our expectations. I have worked in 5 star hotels in the past so am usually disappointed when I travel.
We were celebrating our anniversary so were upgraded to a beautiful suite to the front of the house. the decor is traditional with lots of old furniture and charm, which we loved. Breakfast was good and the portions of food in the restaurant and bar were so large that we could not finish our meals! The food was also delicous.
Staff in the outlets and reception were friendly and helpful.
The only downside was the Spa (which seems to be run seperately to the hotel) - the quality of treatment was poor. We did not use the pool or leisure facilities.
The grounds are lovely with the Shannon running along the bottom of the gardens.
This is a lovley place for a get away and we found it very good value for money.

I recently got married in this hotel in Castleconnell, which is about 5 minutes by car from Limerick city centre. I could not fault it. Everybody made our brief stay an enjoyable experience... from the wedding coordinator (thanks terri!), the hotel staff (in particular Joe!), the receptionists and the management team. The grounds are spectacular and the room's lovely. The food was fantastic also on the day.

My husband and I would like to thank you and all the staff at the Castleoaks Hotel for the fantastic service we received at our wedding on Saturday 12th July 2008. Everything from the delicious meal to the friendly and patient staff working at 5am when the celebrations where still going on added to our special day. All the staff were ,at all times, friendly, professional and more than willing to help with anything. Over the years our families have celebrated many things at the Castleoaks, weddings, retirement parties etc, and every time the service received has been faultless. We would recommend the Castleoaks to anyone looking for a wedding venue that will leave them with such happy memories of their special day, as it has done for us!
