“relaxing break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2012

I booked a 'two day B&B + dinner + wine for £119 for 2 people' through the Groupon offer. It was well worth it - in every way. The hotel was relaxing, clean and cosy. The staff in the bar, reception and dining areas were pleasant, friendly and courteous.
The rooms were large and airy and we had a lovely view over the man-made little lake and terraces. Very handy hotel for the local shops and bars.
The three course meal in the offer was more than ample with good food, more than adequate portions and delicious home made desserts.
We stayed an extra night for only €50 for B&B for 2 people. Great value. This gave us more time to explore the area around Glendalough, Greystones, Wicklow.

Hint: if you've travelled on the M50 on the way around Dublin, you can pay the toll at Eugene's just up the street!

Room Tip: Ask for the 'park view' side, away from the main road.

This is a modern 4* hotel in a very small quite town. The hotel itself is clean & well kept. We dined in the restaurant on the Friday & the staff were friendly & efficient & the food was very tasty. Breakfast was a reasonable spread and cooked freshly although they could have a greater selection of yoghurt's & maybe some homemade brown bread! The art deco bar was very busy on the Saturday night of our stay & the Guinness was spot on. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed, large bathroom & plasma screen tv which unfortunately had a poor reception & didn't pick up all the channels properly. I would recommend this hotel for a quite break away if you want to explore the surrounding area but there is very little to entice any tourist to the town, bar one decent pub.

Myself and my husband stayed for a week-end, it is a brillant place, the staff are very friendly, the food is superb, the rooms very big and very comfortable.
I had read in another review that the breakfast was the hottest ever they received, i can go along with that I never had such a hot breakfast, and it was delicious. There was a great choice for breakfast. I would certainly return and would highly recommend it.

Attended a weeding there on 29th Dec and was delighted with the quality of the accommodation , the foood, the service the comfort and the standard of furnishing overall. Great free parking, within walking distantance of our favourite Country Style shop 'Fishers'. Very convenient to South Dublin, Greystones & Bray and Dart. Dring prices at wedding reception were very reasonable. Overall a very pleasant experience . . . we will be returning as the value for money was excellent. I suggest phoning first for bargain break offers.

we are just back from 2 night stay dec 27, 28th dec. agree with all previous reviews and this hotel comes highly recommended for a visit to co. wicklow, shift and capital button just broke,
location spot on for, glendalough, wicklow town, sally gap and all, right in the middle.
very large rooms and good size bathrooms all spotless, bathroom toiletries provided along with tea coffee making facilities.
we requested and received a room overlooking the park.
very good breakfast and evening meal, very friendly staff.
anyone considering this hotel should give it a try, really highly recommended.

Room Tip: request a room overlooking the park

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Parkview Hotel which was very easy to find ! The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful in every way. The breakfast was terrific , great choice, we choose the
fry, very tasty and enough to keep you going all day, the plates were so hot we could not touch them !! good pot of coffee.
The bedroom was super big with large super king bed ( six feet wide) and very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and hot water all day.
We had dinner in the restaurant one night which again was excellent.
Wine prices reasonable for hotel, about 16Euro.
Great car parking space . All in all a great experience. Would go back and stay in this very clean and modern hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room on 2nd floor, lift available.

We stayed here just for one night mid week and it was a nice clean hotel with comfortable bed and amenities. The restaurant/bar downstairs has friendly staff with a full bar. The only thing I can fault this hotel for is the bad placement of the door stop in the bathroom. It's right next to the toilet where I slammed my toe into and a week later it still hurts!
