“Excellent Dinner Excellent Service and Great Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

We ate in the Brooke lodge with our two year old twin boys and we loved it! Child friendly, great atmosphere stunning food. The staff were so nice to our toddlers and made a real effort to make us feel welcome! Colouring books, chatting to the smallies, involving the children when they came to the table! I was blown away. It was refreshing to see staff so helpful in a busy populate restaurant! And the food was fab! We will defo go back.

Stayed in Brooklodge last weekend in one of their mezzanine suites. What can I say about the place. From start to finish the service, the accommodation and food was excellent. The local walks were fantastic and right on the doorstep. Went to glendalough on the Saturday which is about 25 min drive and really enjoyed the walks and scenery there. In the hotel both the Italian Resturant and the strawberry tree Resturant were of a very high standard with the strawberry tree being one of the best resturant experiences I have ever had. Def will go back

Stayed here recently with my partner for a relaxing break. The main pool and some spa areas were out of bounds due to flooding but we were accommodated and discounted nicely. The restaurant here is exceptional to say the least. Desserts are out of this world. Really enjoyed the stay, very homely quiet and elegant. Recommend to all.

Room Tip: Get a nice suite.. Its worth the extra few euros..

Myself and a girlfriend are just back from a relaxing weekend at the brooklodge. The hotel is nestled away in the hills of Wicklow . On arrival we were impressed by how pretty the hotel and surroundings are. The staff were friendly and so polite at check in , they made us feel at home and very welcome. Our room was not ready so we had some tea in the lounge and set off on a nice walk around the golf course. We then headed to the wells spa for our treatments. The spa is so mod and peaceful . The thermal suites were out of order due to flood damage. So the hotel gave us a discount on our room price to compensate this was a nice gesture. As we were looking forward to spending time in the suites . Spa staff were lovely and I recommend the detox wrap. We even had a snooze in the relaxation room . We had an amazing dinner in the organic strawberry tree restaurant . The restaurant decor is so plush and atmospheric . The food was Devine full 4 course €65 each so worth the treat . Breakfast is table service all food was yum. The hotel is a nice quite place suitable for family, couples etc. the Decor of the hotel is a tiny bit worn but very clean and still has its charm. We are planning out next visit already. It really is a tranquil setting to relax.

I was a guest at a wedding reception in this hotel, the staff were very helpful and polite. The food was very good and plenty of it. The beds were very hard but I was able to sleep. There was quite a variety of food on offer for breakfast and this was made to order. One thing that was good, the wedding guests were able to sleep on until 12.00 midday to accommodate tiredness from the wedding, not too many hotels offer this.

Room Tip: If you are a guest staying overnight try not to get any of the rooms numbered 200 as they are right...

I was fortunate enough to have BrookLodge recommended to me as a venue which would be able to cater a small party that I was hosting. I am extremely grateful for that recommendation. BrookLodge is an oasis of perfection.
When you enter the main reception area you are greeted by a blazing turf fire and extremely welcoming staff. All of my guests were blown away by the attention to detail of every aspect of the hotel, from the food, ambiance, staff and general pampering that we all received.
Unfortunately I didnt get to use the spa on this occasion but I will certainly be going back and intend to stay longer than one night.
I was overwhelmed by the service and the seemingly easy way the hotel was run. But from all of my travelling I know that to a run a hotel this way is not easy. We were made feel very welcome from the second we arrived and no request was too great or any bother.
I would HIGHLY recommend a trip to Brooklodge to sample their service and their homeliness.

Had an overnight stay in Brooklodge to inlcude 1.5 hrs treatments. I have to say the whole experience was amazing. The hotel is really cosy and comfortable. We had food in the Italian restaurant, which was beautiful, its alot cheaper than the Strawberry Tree restaurant, but I cannot say the food was compromised in anyway, it was delicious and reallly good value. The Bar in the hotel is so nice, fires lighting, candles burning, all you could need to make it a memorable experience. I have stayed in other hotels with special deals, but not a patch on the quality of Brooklodge. Well worth a visit.
