“Simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

This bed and breakfast is amazing. It's so close to both the Wicklow Way and Laragh Village (only 5 mins). We walked to the visitor centre at Glendalough (about 20 mins) Michael and Mary are so welcoming and the breakfast is truly delicious!

It was the perfect place to stay and relax after a long hiking trip over the mountains in Glendalough. Mary is a very welcoming person. The place was very clean, warm and nice in the middle of the woods. Only a little more effort walking from the visitor center (around 30 minutes walking along the road and then climbing a little steep road for about 15 minutes ) but it was really worth it. Breakfast was also great. Typical Irish breakfast and great yogurt to recover for another walking day. I really recommend it.

I had a lovely stay in the peaceful Pinewood Logde in Laragh. The sheets were super soft, the breakfast was delicious and it was in an ideal spot for walking the wicklow way in style.
The only thing is there's a little hill up to it from the road. The night we stayed there we walked to Glendalough hotel and got a taxi back for €2 each. But it couldn't be closer to the wicklow way.
The Lady of the house was really nice. Couldn't fault her in anyway:) A super cosy clean bnb.

This neat, comfortable bed and breakfast is well situated for a walking holiday in WIcklow. We were made very welcome and really enjoyed the breakfasts. We appreciated being so close to the Wicklow Heather restaurant.

Quiet place only 5 minutes walk from The Wicklow Heather restaurant. Clean, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, nice host. Perfect for a romantic weekend away! Make sure you bring some snacks with you as the only supermarket closes early!

Mary and her family were most welcoming and helpful. The Pinewood Lodge is perfectly appointed, cozy, and offers a great traditional breakfast. The rooms are spacious, beds comfy -- nice new bathrooms, with all the essentials. The location was perfect -- just minutes from the Lakes at Glendalough, St. Kevin's Monastic City, etc... Mary was even kind enough to print something I urgently needed -- full service! I would highly recommend the Pinewood Lodge and will certainly be sending friends and family there in the future!

Had a great time here at the weekend with my partner. Location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Glendalough. The house was lovely, cosy and extremely clean. The breakfast was perfect, couldn't fault it, as was the tea and cake on arrival. The room was perfect, nicely decorated with a spacious bed and a lovely view of the mountains. And most importantly the owner and her family were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We really felt that they went above and beyond to ensure we were happy at all times. I'd highly recommend this B+B.
