“Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

I stayed there with my parents last November. It was a very nice room and Trudy was great. The Irish breakfasts they make are very good too! Great location as well; a few minute walk to downtown Ballina/Killaloe

Lakeland House is a guest house where I felt very welcome. The hostess (Trudy) was very charming, helpful and provided a wonderful breakfast which wasn't long sitting on my plate! The sleeping accommodation, en suite etc ... was impeccable. I can't fault it at all. So ya, for all the above reasons would definitely recommend it.

Was in Killaloe for one night. Checked Trip Advisor who had Lakeland B&B as No.1
I booked and stayed. The room was spotless and there was a tv lounge available. I ate in Goosers as recommended, just 2 minutes down the road. Next morning I had Trudi,s now legendrary home made Granola.... brown bread, jams and marmalade....all homemade for breakfast! Wonderful B&B experience. I would highly recommend it.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2011

We discovered the place just by chance, after looking it in a B&B guide, but after seen the cleanliness of the rooms, the spaciousness, etc, we decided to stay for two nights.
The hostess Trudy was very kind. She was worried to indicate us how to get to the different places, and if everything was OK.
She prepared wonderful breakfasts specially the granola, a kind of natural muesli, made by her with natural products.
The bathroom seemed completely new, like if we had tried it out yesterday.
The location was very convenient, just 5 minutes walking from the center.

I would definitively recommend the place to everyone.

I stayed at Lakeland House B&B recently while researching the nearby mountain of Moylussa for my County High Points walking guidebook. Located in historic Killaloe-Ballina, Lakeland House is an ideal base from which to explore Lough Derg, the Slieve Bernagh and Arra Mountains and the Lower Shannon. The service and hospitality was faultless, and Trudy can advise on the best walking routes, sights, restaurants, etc, in the area. I ate at Goosers (one of Trudy's restaurant recommendations) which is just a two-minute walk from the B&B - the beef & Guinness casserole is delicious.
