Just returned from 2 night stay in the Radisson, Sligo.

Beautiful setting with views of the sea.

Had some treatments in the spa. The staff are excellent and the facilities second to none.

Food in the restaurant and bar was great.

Very relaxing break. Just what was needed to recharge the batteries.

Fantastic hotel, great people and service. Hotel was immaculate from lobby to room, and dining areas good too. View of mountains from room as requested was good.

We stayed in a Jr. Suite which gave the family plenty of room to spread out, and was well presented.

Room service was good quality and promptly delivered, at breakfast we were seated promptly, and greeted by the best quality breakfast food of our trip.

We had a telly enjoyable stay at this little gem not to far from city centre either. The staff were really nice and helpful rooms were pretty good to. All on all a good stay. There is a large leisure centre which looks very nice but we didn't have time to visit while we were there should we return I would definitely like to visit. Breakfast is pretty good and there is a restaurant and bar on the premises to. We ate at the bar and found the service and food pretty good.

Stayed for 2 nights with the family and paid a bit extra for a suite. I'm so glad we did as the room was fantastic. An extra bed was put in the living room for our son, giving us some privacy in the bedroom. The bed was huge and wonderfully comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent with separate bath and shower cubicle.

The breakfast buffet was superb, and the bar meal we had was very good too. There was a wedding reception on both nights we stayed, as well as a big party of foreign tourists, which meant that the reception area was crowded for an hour or two, but the staff never seemed overwhelmed.

There was a bit of late night shouting from sozzled wedding guests on one of the nights, bit nothing I couldn't sleep through.

Lovely swimming pool and spa area too.

The location is great...close enough to Sligo, but a couple of miles outside town with great views. We really enjoyed staying there.

We arrived to a hotel fully booked and were given a nice room, unfortunately it overlooked the 'engine room of the hotel'.
However, we were offered a room overlooking the sea for the following night, albeit at an angled view.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here recently enroute to a wedding. The Fleadh Traditional Music festival was being held in Sligo and with 300,000 extra people in town, things were hectic. Check in was tedious as our receptionist recited the full rigmarole while we waited impatiently to get to our rooms and relax.
come on folks, we are all adults and we dont need to hear every detail of the hotels amenities while we struggle with baggage etc. If we need some info, we can just ask you later. Saw the same thing at check-out while people queued to leave. Also was is just me or is that revolving door out to injure someone?? Our rooms were more than satisfactory, fresh, modern and spacious with everything you could require. Found the a/c extremely noisy but got used to it after a while. Lovely bathroom and toiletries. But oh no.........the view...not the stunning Ben Bulben just behind the hotel but A ROOF!!! What were you thinking Mr/Ms Architect??? Luckily our friends who travelled from UK had several windows framing the aforementioned Ben Bulben and were more then content!Breakfast next day was very busy but fine and after the long long checkout, we were on our way to the wedding.

Room Tip: While the hotel was fully booked on our visit and they generally leave these rooms til last, it real...

Seamus_Preston, General Manager at Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Sligo, responded to this review, August 23, 2014
Dear Decades_12,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review about your recent visit to our hotel and I hope that overall you enjoyed your short visit to Sligo.

I am extremely sorry that you found our check in and out procedures to be a tedious affair and this certainly is not our intention. When our guests arrive and depart from the hotel we feel it is extremely important to give them the necessary information that they may require about the property so that they can fully enjoy all of the fantastic facilities that the hotel has to offer. It is equally important on departure to ensure that we carry out a satisfaction check with our guests in relation to their stay and I am sorry that this was a long process.

I am delighted that your bedroom was more than satisfactory and that you found them to be fresh, modern and spacious. We recently upgraded our bathroom toiletry range for our bedrooms and we are receiving fantastic feedback about this new brand. I would like to apologise that your view from your bedroom was obscured and while the majority of our bedrooms have beautiful views over Sligo bay or the Benbulben mountain range, we do have a small number of bedrooms whereby the view is obscured. If you do plan to return to the hotel please do request a room with a view of the bay or mountains and we will certainly organise this for you.

I hope you and your friends from the UK had a safe onward journey to your destination and that you enjoyed your wedding!

Once again thank you for taking the time to complete a review regarding your recent stay and we are very grateful for the opportunity to improve on foot of your feedback. On behalf of our entire staff here at the Radisson Blu we would like to thank you for your business and we hope to see you again when your travels bring you back to the area.

Kind regards,

Seamus Preston
