“I would stay here again (and again, and again, and...)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2011

An Corrach Mor is at the end of a quiet laneway, off the main road between Galway and Spiddal. Noreen, the proprietor, was very friendly, very helpful, went above and beyond the call of duty. The room was clean, and breakfast was excellent.
The only thing I would suggest is that this B&B should be more clearly signposted from both sides of the main route, as it is easy to miss the laneway...and it would be a shame to miss this place.

My family had a wonderful two day stay at this lovely B and B. Noreen, the owner, is helpful and provides everything you could want during your visit. The town of Spiddal is close by with a beach, restaurants, pubs, and a craft village. We drove 20 minutes and took the ferry over to the Aran Islands to bike for the day. Loads of fun! We can highly recommend this guest house for your stay on the Irish coast near Galway.

We stayed in the An Corrach Mor over a weekend and had the fantastic time. Luckily the new motor-way system from Newry got us to Galway in much quicker time than previously.

The weather was lovely, allowing us to explore the beach, which is a short car journey away. The owner Noreen welcomed us into a bright, clean, friendly and homely environment. Our breakfast was a delicious selection of traditional Irish breakfast, fresh fruit salad, granola, to name a few.

I have booked again for this coming July and I really looking forward to exploring the surrounding areas.

Recently stayed at this very charming B&B on the West Coast of Ireland. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. Noreen, the owner, was very warm and made us feel very welcome, especially having young children. The Irish breakfast was delicious and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The local beach is only a 3 minute drive away and there are some amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean from the shoreline. The local village has shops, restaurants and of course Irish pubs. The B&B is ideally located for touring and seeing the unspoilt natural beauty of Connemara, including the majestic Aran Islands. We enjoyed staying at this B&B. Sláinte mhaith - Good health!

No hesitation in recommending An Corrach Mor as a great place to stay! We spent two nights there last summer while touring Ireland. I didn’t go in with very high expectations - I prefer hotels, but this B&B really rivals some better hotels we’ve stayed in. Noreen, the owner, welcomed us warmly and made us feel very at ease. The rooms are fantastic - spacious, tastefully decorated, and most importantly, very clean! Beds are super comfortable with clean and crisp linens. The room had a private bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. The location was central for our outings to Galway city, the Aran Islands and other parts of Connemara. Breakfast was great - my husband loved the Irish breakfast, while Noreen accommodated my vegetarian diet. We could have spent a week there! Loved it - and hope to return some day!
