We arrived, found the hotel and parking easily.

The staff were so very friendly and helpful!

Our room (a jacuzzi suite) was bigger than our apartment. The decor was a bit dated but for the price, we couldn't complain. It was clean and the jacuzzi was fabulous.

They delivered our breakfasts to the room and never charged us extra, and of all the restaurants we went to in Galway on that holiday, the one in the hotel was far and away the best. The steak melted in my mouth, and the chef was more than happy to accomodate my milk allergy, and substituted the sauce for me.

I've recommended it to everyone!

  • Liked — Friendly staff, clean rooms, jacuzzi suite!
  • Disliked — the decor was a bit dated!

I recently enjoyed a weekend away in this hotel with my husband and two children ages 13 &14. To begin with I would like to say that after reading one review of this hotel on this website I was quite hesitant in booking however my husband wanted somewhere with a central location and this seemed ideal!
When we arrived I was very impressed by the location, the friendliness of the receptionest and the beautiful reception area. We then proceeded to our room which I must add had a lovely jacuzzi which was quite a treat! The decor was quite modern and fresh and the room itself was very clean!
The restaurant was absolutely lovely and the meal was truly enjoyable. Breakfast in the morning was a simple fry or a choice of cereals which was suitable for the children. The bar was lovely and again the staff were friendly! The location was ideal because while my husband and I enjoyed a quiet drink the kids amused themselves in the arcade and the aquarium(which is located directly behind the hotel)
The hotel also contains a beauty and aromatherapy room located on the 1st floor which is a lovely treat as you can choose from a wide variety of massages and beauty treatments. This is run by a lovely woman called Angela and I would advise everyone visiting this hotel to pay her a visit(I got a massage and it felt like heaven)
Well my final word on this hotel is that it is in a ideal location with regular buses to the city centre of Galway which is only 5minutes away!! It would make for a nice family trip or even a romantic break as there is several nice restaurants in the area( the nicest of which is located in the hotel I would say)
Well thank you for listening, I hope this well be of benefit to you.
Kildare Woman.

We stayed at Jamesons Hotel on a hen night with 25 girls. We had a great time. The staff were really friendly and helpful . The bar was great ad we were able to enjoy the residents bar after our night on the town. Overall the hotel is located centrally in Salthill with easy access to Galway city and the pubs and restuarants in Salthill areon your doorstep

Hi im a married woman who recently spent a weekend at Jameson Hotel with my husband. To be quite frank it was one of my worst hotel experiences, and ive had many.

Firstly, on our arrival at the hotel we were left standing at reception for more than 10mins. as there was literaly no one there to check us in. Due to this fact we entered the bar in order to gain some assistance and were astonished to be subjected to an extreamly harsh smell of stale beer. It was extreamly smokey and clearly not air conditioned in any way.

After finaly gaining axcess to our room we were very surprised at its dated appearance, it was passable but not in any way as the web-site photograph suggests.

On our departure i asked to see the hotel manager in order to highlight these problems but was informed that there was no manager of any kind on the premises.(hence why im writing this)

All in all i really feel cheated by the poor standard of this hotel.

Cork couple.
