If in kinvara seems to be the place all the tourists go but I could see how disappointed many of the foreign tourists were. It's expensive for what you get, it's so small you can have the whole place looked at in 15 mins . The parking is not close and on a wet day ( yes we were soaked) its a dangerous narrow footpath which had to be walked to get to castle. They be better served if they developed the field across the road as a car park. I found the lady on reception very friendly to the foreign tourists and not as friend to the poor paddy tourists which really annoys me no end, our money is as good as any and it's such a poor image to portray , false gushy service to the foreigners . The lady who came into the ground floor area and provides the history information was excellent. It's very poorly lit and I can appreciate that being done for atmosphere but its not effective here, buy some light bulbs people for ground floor and banquet room! The cash desk is in a total bottle neck Backed up onto a tacky "oirish" shop. They should also provide a note on the roof exit that its quiet narrow and anyone who doesn't enjoy narrow spaces could be panicked. Also small children need to be minded on roof as portions of wall levls are not that high . also need to be sure footed on narrow stair cases. The last admission on day we visited was 4.30 pm and tourists were pouring. management need to cop on and provide a better service here, I will not recommend it .
