We stayed for a weekend. This is not a modern hotel but it is charming and in a great location. It has taken a pounding from the recent storms so the golf course is out of action. The food is excellent and the service is superb, in particular Philip, and James in the restaurant.
We did a bit of fishing on the lake in the grounds and also some shore fishing and walking. The surrounding countryside is outstanding for walking of all levels with a good walking booklet available from the hotel. Any minor niggles we had with the room were speedily and courteously dealt with. We'll definitely be back.

Where do I start ? My chum and I stayed 21-23 March for a Murder Mystery weekend package. A beautiful hotel that made us think of Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot. We thought it very 1930's with a modern twist. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff to whom nothing was a bother. Food to die for, thanks Tim and the whole kitchen crew. Everything was delicious. The staff were a happy bunch and we loved them. The room was beautifully clean and all in all we just thoroughly enjoyed everything about the whole weekend. We won a mid week break back there to take before September, and we cant wait. Thanks everyone at Renvyle.. See you soon.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water. Views to die for.

Renvyle house hotel differs from Rosleague manor in that children and dogs are welcome in renvyle. You also are as welcome in wellies as in a tuxedo. They do lots of guest activities,...flying fishing, plays and various talks and walks. For kids there is a good kids club swimming pool outside and playground. Renvyle has a nice bench swing in the herb garden easy access to the ocean lovely view and a good atmosphere. best rooms are 75 to 78

Attended a friends wedding and it was absolutely amazing-setting, service and staff. Absolutely beautiful and would definitely return for another stay sometime in the summer-wish we had stayed overnight for the wedding

Had a beautiful weekend here. The staff were all so friendly (in particular Catherine and Ronnie).
Food was lovely and a great selection of everything. Music in the bar both nights was very good. The views and the gardens were amazing, as was the weather. It was great to see people relaxing in the conservatory with books and people outside on their horses and dogs. My only complaint is that I didn't have another night!! Can't wait to go back.

Go to Renvyle if you like sea views, fresh air, turf fires to relax by, friendly staff and food to die for. Do not go if you want a gym work out, loud bar and hussle and bussle. Bring your walking shoes and experience conneamara at its best .
