“Sublime as usual”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for probably the sixth time over the past 10 years and again were not disappointed. Everything about the place is perfect for us, it's location, the calmness, the helpfulness of the staff, the wonderful unfussy but beautifully cooked food, the room.
It describes itself as a stress free environment and it is!

stayed here for one night b&b. everything from beginning to end was wonderful. the staff are efficient and friendly. we had dinner here also and the food was top class, as was breakfast. the hotel and grounds are beautiful. took a boat out on the lake, no charge for boat/lifejackets nor for the fly rod we borrowed! just a fabulous place with buckets of charm, will definitely be back.

Dear laniewest

Thank you for staying with us earlier this month. Delighted that you enjoyed your short break and that you had the chance (and the weather) to take a row-boat out on the lake...it's a very peaceful pursuit.

We hope you'll return again.

With kind regards,
Sabina

Stayed for one night in a beautiful suite with the most beautiful view of the ocean. The room was well equipped with separate seating area with large tv/dvd,limited channels but why oh why would you come here to look at tv.Beautiful marble bathroom with a large tropical shower and a jacuzzi. Large comfortable bed and pillows. We ate lunch in which was lovely.Dinner was also top class.A hotel is only as good as the staff you put in it and Renvyle House did not come up short here either. The Barman on Saturday afternoon epitomised this, even though he was v busy manning the bar I went to ask for an ice bucket and glasses to take to our room I was prepared to wait while he got them he insisted on bringing them to the room, restaurant staff were all very friendly and professional.I have worked in the hotel business for over 25 years and know how hard it is in the current climate to please guests but even the most critical would find it hard to find fault with this beautifully located well run hotel, Thank You,can't wait to return.

Nothing about this hotel disappoints - the food, the service, the location, the comfort of the beds, all perfect for the getaway I really needed. My only complaint is that my trip was not for longer!!

We rented one of the three houses here and are so glad we did. The view from the huge front window was breathtaking. The house we had was three bedrooms two baths, a sauna room, washer and dryer-even a deep freezer. It was wonderful.

As our first Christmas married, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a post Christmas weekend break, and we were so glad that we chose Renvyle House Hotel. We had been in the area a month or so previous and had made the booking in person, so knew exactly what to expect in terms of old world charm - If you are looking for a modern atmosphereless hotel, this is not the place. It is an older establishment and I was delighted that the decor reflected the country house style - resisting a clinical modern minimalistic feel.

Initially we commented how that we had hoped that it wouldn't be too quiet for our visit, as it was the end of the holiday season and we were aware that the hotel was closing on that Sunday, but we had not expected it to be so busy. When we arrived Friday evening the place was full of families - yes including kids and dogs, enjoying the surroundings. Having said that it only added to the homely atmosphere, the Staff were all very plesant and attentive. There appeared to be a room devoted to kids activies and games.

We stayed on the top floor, the room was lovely, very clean and the bathroom was well furnished with toiletries, something I have found lacking in many hotels of late. Breakfast was delicious and Dinner was devine. I cannot fault the food or service in both restaurant or bar. Also the entertainment on both Friday and Saturday was most enjoyable.

I would not normally be too enthuastic about pet friendly hotels, but I have to say that I found the hotel to be very clean, and the dog owners most responsible in caring for the needs of their pets.

I will definitely be back again to Renvyle, it is a hidden gem!

Following a spur of the moment decision, we've just returned from a gloriously luxuriant end to the Xmas/New Year 2012 season. Having been privileged to get married in Renvyle over three years ago, the hotel and its fabulous staff will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Yet again, the welcome was both heartfelt and warm, the food just fabulous and the house a true home from home. It's a real skill to be able to provide the level of personal service that is at the heart of Renvyle, whilst allowing each and every guest to feel that the house is their very own.
For us however, the crowning glory came when our young son (just two and a half) - having just experienced his first stay at the hotel - announced that he really liked "being here" and that he'd like to return "tomorrow"! Unfortunately for him the hotel is closed for a well-deserved break over the coming few weeks. Fortunately for its staff, they'll have the break they all deserve following their continuing level of great service.
Thanks Ronnie and all your staff for a lovely break. We look forward to our return at the earliest possible "tomorrow!". The O'Connell/Keating clan!

Dear GirlEnnis,

Such a lovely compliment from your young son, thank you for passing that on, it brought a smile to us all.

Thank you also for staying with us and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and made it your home from home.

We had a great break and reopened during the week - the house feels most peculiar without guests about the place!

We look forward to seeing you again soon and thank you for taking the time to write your review, you captured the essence of what we hope all our guests experience when they come to stay.

With kind regards,
Sabina
