“an unmissable treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2010

We stayed here for three days over my husbands birthday. The staff were wonderful..friendly and so accommodating in a very professional way. They could teach ......many hotels that special art. The food is delicious and the setting is so beautiful. The lodge has two big rooms to relax and read in and very comfortable well appointed bedrooms . This is a unique place from which you can explore the special area that is Connemara.

My Husband and I have just returned from Lough Inagh Lodge where we had the best time. We initially booked in for 2 nights but we were so chilled out we extended our stay. The hotel is perfectly located between mountains and lake and in fact looking out the dining room window is just like a picture... a real one. The food is excellent and service is fantastic. What we loved was the no fuss attitude. If you hike or fish this is the place to stay.

However, word of warning - the barman "Thomas" is a fun character and is unbelievably good at mixing cocktails - too good as they have a taste of more, a lot more! Try the Apple Martini or his Cosmo...but just tell him to go light on the alcohol!!

i was forced to cancel a trip this week to Paris with my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. i had to come up with a 'plan B' in a hurry and Lough Inagh Lodge was, as always, magical. Great food, jaw dropping scenery, and wonderful hospitality. Would recommend this without hesitation to anyone. The new stretch of motorway from Athlone to Galway makes Connemara easier than ever to get to.

We stayed for one night on 18th April, I just wish it had been more! If you are looking for a quiet, romantic getaway in the middle of nowhere you must try this beautiful lodge. Everything was perfect. We had a massive room overlooking the lough with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast, I can't wait to return!

We've stopped a few times to eat here (always great) but this past weekend was the first time we stayed there. It was wonderful. The hospitality and welcome was great - not cheesy or flase - very genuine. The food was delicious and fresh and the room was big and had a view for the lake. We were in Connemara for the marathon and Maire was very helpful in advising about getting to the start line and she also invited us back to shower etc (even after we'd checked out!).
I will certainly go back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at Lough Inagh while visiting our children in Connemara in June - took 5 days for a break together; and both of us have nothing but good things to say about it. Welcoming, friendly, food quality was excellent, and the variety was good even though we were eating in throughout, We had a lake view room - absolutely stunning to wake up to - and we found the remoteness of the location really serene,

Other guests when we were there included a group of cyclists (who found it a great base for exploring Connemara - and had a lot of fun in the evenings at the hotel too!) and someone who needed somewhere in the area that was pet-friendly.

If you just want to get away from it all, it's the biz.

Eight of us happened upon this Inn while driving to Clifden. We stopped for lunch and had the most amazing experience. We all want to come back and stay. The staff was so friendly, so welcoming, and so inviting. They gave us a tour of the Inn, showed us such amazing hospitality. I would recommend this Inn to anyone! The views were spectacular!!
My favorite stop of the trip!
