The first thing that struck us was the smell of cow crap in the entrance, swiftly followed by the sight of a sheep farmer in his wellies.
The staff were friendly enough but this could not make up for the food which was ok but seemed to be processed food rafther than freshly prepared on the premises.

The plumbing made an awful racket during the night, especially when the coach party of Germans were having their early morning showers. ..and our shower leaked.
The whole place could do with a clean and the paintwork was peeling in many areas..
.. and the bar?... no life in it at all except for a few drunk unintelligible sheep farmers.

I would not be recommending this place to anyone

The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. A young girl called Maricka was very attentive and made sure my stay was pleasant!! I will definitely visit again.

I liked Peacockes, the staff were very friendly, willing to call taxis and always checking how we were! Had a fabulous 5-course meal included in our deal, we weren't expecting it to be so nice. Really enjoyed the food there. The bar was pretty quiet though which was a pity at night as it's so far from anything. Still it suited us as we were in chill-out mode! I'd recommend it - get a deal!

I agree with the 2nd poster. We had 2 nights booked there last August.
It was so bad that we had to leave after the 1st night. Maybe my expectations were too high - but its not even that cheap!
