We were there in May on a really lovely sunny day and had lunch on the terrace. The setting is magic, beautiful and relaxed. The food was excellent. I had the crab and loved it, my friends had the fish and chips which once one of the best I have ever tasted. The chips were delicious. The guinness was perfect. If only the waitress would have been a little more friendly and welcoming. Maybe we caught her on a bad day, but it really looked like she was doing me a massive favour by taking my order and despite the pub being half empty she always made me wait a good moment before giving me any attention. Not very professional. Maybe they didn't like us because we were foreigners, maybe they don't need the business. If that is the case they are certainly going in the right direction, because despite the place being beautiful and the food being delicious I'm not sure I would stop there again if they make me feel so unwelcome.
