This wasn't my favorite Abbey in Ireland. Parts of it are blocked off (for safety?), parts of it are in a pasture (per usual Ireland). It's plenty big enough and enough of it is still there that it makes for some good pictures. I would recommend others above it.
That being said, there was a wonderful tea room and pub across from it that we thoroughly enjoyed stopping by with a true Irish touch, not touristy.
It won't be a waste of time to go but I wouldn't go out of the way. It was worth stopping by after seeing it on our drive.
