“One of the most interesting places in Ireland.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

One of the few unspoiled places in Ireland (though even here it can be difficult to get away from the coaches). This barren and extraordinary landscape really is worth a visit.

“Incredible”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

The landscape is amazing here. I went and June and several flowers were blooming all over the place. If you are into megalithic sites, there are several stone structures around the park.

“Wild, desolate and beautiful - beware of grazing cows”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

This trip to "The Burren" was as a part of a bus tour. It feels like the middle of nowhere and the landscape is different from the Connemara region or the city areas. Limestone formations abound (watch your step). The ancient burial site stop was very interesting although you have to beware of grazing cattle and watch not only for changes in elevation from the rocks but also for cow pats. P.S. the cows do not like tourists walking up to touch them. Learn some history at this place and take a look at the stone wall construction - most interesting.

“Amazing rock and beaches.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Lots of views, small places to visit. Careful driving! The small towns are the only places to go for food and bathrooms, etc.

“Excellent views. Huge area. Pick your area to see, too much to do!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Fantastic views along the coast and in the interior (not far from the coast). Be sure to pull over and into the view points or along the coast, roads are very narrow. Definitely worth seeing, but it is a large area, so make sure you pick the things you want to do (like visit Poulnabrone). After a bit, it can get somewhat monotonous, so don't spend tons of time (like more than a day).
