“Nicely renovated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Great value for convenient convention hotel. Newly renovated rooms provide convenient access to hotel event space and convention center across the street. Close to Market Street Square and other amenities. Covered parking ($8.00) with an outside lot for oversize vehicles as well. World's Fair Park directly adjacent as well. Excellent service by front desk staff for check-in. Express check-out - make sure and take your room key with you if you have a parked vehicle for exit from lot.

Good wi-fi access (pass code provided on check-in) with quick connection and absolutely no issues on logging back in later.

This hotel has been transformed by the new owner and feels like a new hotel. Modern. I almost didn't stay here because of the very 'red' bedrooms shown on the hotel web site, but 'rest assured' the rooms are not red but a very nice relaxing burgundy colour. Neither is the lounge lime green. Great location, within walking distance of downtown Knoxville and Bistro at the Bijou. Would certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed two nights are the Holiday Inn World's Fair. Yes, it is just a Holiday Inn and frankly the room could have used a bit of freshening up. It smelled as if the carpet had just been cleaned (not in a good way) and the pillows weren't great but otherwise it was roomy, economical and conveniently located to Knoxville's market area. The staff was 100% friendly and helpful. Within 3 short blocks are several fun restaurants and a Saturday Market that is sure to please.

Totally renovated, large rooms, very nice ambiance in the restaurant. Probably one of the nicest HI's I have stayed in anywhere. Reasonably priced. Parking was $8, but at least it was covered.

As a Platinum Priority Club member, I was booked on the Club floor and nice breakfast included, great service at breakfast.

Front desk service was just ok, restaurant service was just ok. Dinner quality was good. The pool was decent and my son enjoyed it, so it was great.

On my way to New York I stayed at this location and stopped her again on my return to Texas. I had originally planned to go on to Nashville but enjoyed my stay here the first time that I couldn't pass it up. There is a great park adjacent to the facility and plenty to see within walking distance.
The staff were always very attentive to me wether in the dining area, the lobby or the lounge. They have an excellent menu and the artichoke spinach dip with shrimp is just killer.
I honestly cannot say enough about the quality of this stay. If you have time you should go to Market Square for a nice evenings entertainment

The hotel is located next to the Worlds Fair park and just a few blocks from Market Square. Once we parked our car it stayed in the garage - we could walk to everything. There is a greenway behind the hotel that goes through the park and down along the river for those who want to get some exercise. I have a 15 month old who hd a blast playing in the park's fountain. The only downside was having to pay for parking but we would still choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view overlooking the park.

Finding a hotel within a few steps of a convention center is amazing and at a price that was reasonable. Not only was it convenient for us to attend the Antiques Roadshow, the hotel was updated beautifully and the staff was gracious and friendly. This was my first experience with a "Green" hotel and I like the idea of it. Knoxville's Market Square is only a few blocks away which offers interesting restaurants, entertainment and shops. I would definitely stay here anytime I am in Knoxville!
