Searched the internet for a good steakhouse in Knoxville and Connor's was consistently mentioned so off we went. The restaurant has a lovely intimate atmosphere and I would say the dress code would be casual dressy. We made reservations, were promptly seated and our waitress, Devon, was probably one of the best waitresses that I have ever had the pleasure to wait on me. Just really excellent service. She answered our many questions promptly, was knowledgeable and was able to point out several dishes that were considered house specialties. Our party ordered the 12oz ribeye, the 10oz sirloin and the parmesan encrusted halibut. The ribeye was ordered rare and cooked to absolute perfection. We ordered the bleu cheese butter on the side and it was wonderful and full of rosemary, but the steak was so tasty it didn't really need anything added to it. A choice of soup or salad came with the meal and lobster bisque was ordered and is not to be missed. The lobster is plentiful, sweet and buttery. So delicious. The sirloin was a thick cut of meat, also ordered rare, and was delicious as was the house salad that came with the meal. The halibut was a nice large serving, cooked nicely, but for me, was somewhat lacking a certain something. I added some fresh squeezed lemon but I just couldn't perk the fish up. For dessert we had the Bananas Foster which was really wonderful. The bananas and sauce were poured over pastry puff and it was great. It was a bit tricky cutting the pastry puff but well worth the effort. The upside down german chocolate cake was a big hit as well. Very rich. Connors threw in a strawberry shortcake for the member in our party who was celebrating a birthday and that was very tasty. The prices for the quality of food was outstanding and I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. Highly recommend!
