“LOVED IT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2014

This place is excellent! My wife and I had just a few hours to spend in Knoxville, and lunch was on the agenda. Pete's was the first place we saw, so we stopped in. I'm so glad we did! The food is incredible, and the service is fantastic. The people are friendly and chatty, which I always appreciate. The menu is diverse, and the quality of the food is top notch. Great food. Great environment. Great location! Well done, Pete's.

“Gorgeous Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

The lines form early, and was planning on brunch this morning.
Had to wait about 10-12 mins, which wasn't bad at all. If you're a couple, the wait is shorter.....apparently there are more tables for 2 than for more. We were in a group of 3. But the line moved at a constant pace....so it was fine.

They have the standard breakfast fare, eggs, pancakes, waffles, french toast, coffee, orange juice. ...etc. I had french toast, with eggs and bacon, w/ coffee. Took about 10 min for the food to arrive,.....but it was good. Very warming and comforting. However, what made this place stands out was the ambience. While not overly noisy, it was just alive.......the patrons with their conversations,. the waiting staff w/ their infectious smiles.....attentiveness, and overall, just a great place to have breakfast or brunch.

“Elegant frontage, diner inside”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

I am reasonably sure that their breakfast menu deserves more than average. I probably should have ordered from this menu, as it was still available at 1 pm. Because of excellent service I may try again, but refrain from the lunch menu. I did see many people enjoying delicious looking sandwiches and salads, so please don't judge them on my mediocre experience of grilled cheese and soup. Again, the vibes, the service, and personalities are well worth a visit.

“Value and Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

Pete's is strictly breakfast and lunch till 2;30. You self seat and the menu is on the table. It is as unpretentious as can be. Howevever, the food is delicious, fresh, plentiful. the staff is friendly and professional. It was a wonderful southern breakfast and for a northerner a real tree.

“Life Saver”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Pete's was a just as expected. We had lunch at Pete's and were greeted with open arms, even though it was 30 minutes before closing. The staff seemed to know all of the "guests" by name. The burger was exactly like grandma used to make. The rueben sandwich was very good. By far this is your best bet in downtown.
