“Great Rooms, Great Service, Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2010

A very nice place to stay. We were on our way to Gatlinburg and needed a place for the night. We had tried a couple of other hotels very nearby but the lobbies were full of travelers making lots of noise. When we pulled into this parking lot and saw how clean it was I figured it was way out of our price range. The lobby was very nice, spacious and quiet. The staff was excellent, we arriveved at 1:00 a.m. and were very tired. the gentleman at the desk could NOT have been any nicer nor polite. He assisted my by finding a great rate and in minutes we were in our room.

I didn't know what to expect of the rooms since we got such a great deal, around $80 for government rate (and 4th of July weekend). The rooms were wonderfull. The rooms are a little larger than normal with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was a little larger as well. Thewhole room had a modern look and feel. The beds were very comforable. Although we didn't need it, the room had a fridge and microwave.

I travel quite a bit with work and have stayed in many hotel ranging from $400 a night down to $60. This hotel is well worth $125 a night, but you don'y have to pay that.

Overal it was one great night.

We typically stay at Hilton-owned hotels because of the reputation, and this location was no exception. It was such a nice and relaxing overnight stay on our trip home after the disgusting and uncomfortable rented RV we had just spent 5 nights in at Myrtle Beach. I love the bedding at Hilton...soooooo comfy and clean. I've been trying to replicate their bedding at home, it's that nice. The bathroom was spacious, clean and a little upscale. The curved shower rod makes the shower feel so roomy. The staff was very helpful and nice and kept asking if the room was alright. They promptly called the bellhop guy to get us a luggage cart when we couldn't locate one. Be aware of a Hispanic bellhop (I didn't get his name) who seems rather pushy with his helpfulness in anticipation of a tip. (I couldn't have tipped him if I wanted to because I only carry credit cards on me.) Just insist on handling your luggage on your own if he crosses your path. Anyway, the inside pool was nice with oldies music playing on the speakers, which pipes through to the hot tub area right outside. We had the breakfast option added to our reservation for an extra $21 (for a family of 4). The food was varied and plentiful: hot eggs (made to order if you want), pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, breads, cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc.. But the sausage had no flavor and the eggs were made with that substitute crap. Also, the hot food is not serve yourself. There is a server behind the counter hording the tongs who grabs a plate and asks you what you would like. That is an obvious deterrent on the management's part. You feel hesitant and awkward to go back for seconds if you can't serve yourself. Did not like that at all! Other than that, the hotel overall was very nice, relaxing and clean with courteous staff--all the major elements that really count.

Pretty much your standard Hilton Garden Inn - bright lobby, cheerful employees, exceptionally clean and spacious room. I checked in a bit early, and was promptly given a king room on the first floor. The wireless internet was fast and easily accessible, and the room was very quiet - with the exception of the housekeeping staff that consistently used the chain locks on the door as door stops, so the sound of doors slamming into the chain bar was annoying.

Net, great hotel and a great value in the West Knoxville corridor.

Just returned from the HGI Cedar Bluff - we stayed here for a soccer tourney and had a team of 12/13 yr.old boys and their parents. The staff here were some of the friendliest we've encountered, and the "reminders" to the boys to not run, keep it down, etc. were always gentle and well-received. Our rate came with complimentary hot breakfast, and they did a great job placing it in a mtg room for us early to accommodate our early games.

Rooms were a bit small, but very clean and comfortable. Beds are slightly on the soft side, which works for some and not for others. There is comp. hi-speed internet -- you just connect your laptop to the cord at the desk - no problems at all. Indoor pool was small, but very clean, and they had an outdoor hot tub. Convenient to several nice restaurants - all within walking distance. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

I just stayed one night while in town on business. The hotel is clean as was the room. It is the typical HGI for the most part. A couple of things struck me as odd for a HGI; that is no wireless and no restaurant or bar. Luckily, there was a Caraba's within walking distance. The food there was outstanding by the way. They did offer breakfast in the morning though. It was pretty good. The fitness center was pretty small and did not include any weights. Overall, the stay wasn't bad, but once checked in I would like to stay in and eat rather than walking in the cold to a chain restaurant.

We have just returned from a combination business trip that included taking some of my largest customers to a UT football game. I booked 2 rooms with 2 beds for the 4 of us on the Hilton website. When we arrived we were told that there was construction taking place, and that they could not honor our confirmed reservation, but would have to put us in 2 king rooms,,,Yes, that is 2 businessmen to the bed. We are not that close....After speaking with the front desk, manager on call, and asking him to call the manager, nothing was done except for them to confirm that there were additional king rooms empty, that they would charge us an additonal $89per room for their mistake. Yes, that was in addition to the $139 per room rate we were paying on the first 2. Everyone expects to be treated right when a mix up has occurred, and the management of this place did not try to do anything to help the situation. There are many nice hotels in this area, and I will STAY AWAY, and hope you will also.
