“Faabulous Burger”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Got takeout burgers and house salad. Great. Would have loved to dine in because the dining room was beautiful. In a very nice section of Knoxville close to Knox County Courthouse and Tennessee Supreme Court.

“Superb venue but poor programming”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The Bijou Theater opened in the early 1900s with George M. Cohan, believe it or not ("Give My Regards to Broadway"), and then over the decades, it fell into disrepair. It was saved by the wrecking ball, and today it's a superb venue, but the acts that are scheduled here are really poor (glorified fiddle music and regional rock groups that you've never heard of, plus a scattering of music professors from the nearby University of Tennessee doing their "service to the community" bit for tenure and promotions). Tickets are way overpriced. Go once maybe to see the theater, which uses shuttle buses to get patrons to and from a faraway parking lot. Alcohol served, but no snacks to speak of. Eat before you go. While highly touted in Knoxville, the restaurant next door (Bistro at the Bijou) is no big shakes, either. Sorry, folks. I call 'em like I see 'em.

“Love the Bijou!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

This is a great little venue; very intimate and every seat in the house is a good one! Honeyhoney opened for Ryan Bingham. Fantastic show!

“Great Concert Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

I have seen too-many-to-count concerts at the Bijou Theater over the last 20+ years, and the Bijou is one of my favorite places to see a concert. The acoustics are superior, the decor is amazing and the book really great shows!

“beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

The Bijou is one of my favorite places to go in Knoxville. They have restored it to make it look like it was when it was first built. They have awesome seating and events that go on here. I feel like I'm in Knoxvlle back in the 30's when I am in here. It's simply beautiful!
