The Roadway Inn is a curious place. We booked 5 rooms for the weekend and while all were clean with ample hot water there was also a pervasive "Goodwill smell". The amenities varied between the rooms from one complete with fridge, easy chair, desk/chair, TV, and armoir, to one that had nothing but the beds and armoir (not even the TV).

The real fun of the weekend was the visit to the same room by two junkies looking for a dealer, one each night we were there. That room also received a call from a prostitute and found a roach! Fortunately, our group was rather "lit" that night and it made for a great story rather than the disgusting nuisance it was.

The management was polite, but far from professional, we constantly had to ask for more towels (even though the rooms were booked for 4 adults), the contintal breakfast was $5 in pastries and nasty coffee.

When we ordered a pizza the first night the delivery driver commented about being creeped out delivering to the place. Being such a "bargain" hotel, the clientèle was a bit sketchy in general. We observed multiple non-smoking rooms from which the smell of cigarette smoke wafted.

It's a hit or miss place. Some of the rooms were fine, some were lacking, but all were clean. I would not recommend this to families except in dire need. But if your looking for a cheap place and aren't easily offended, this place is adequate.

  • Liked — The wireless internet connection was quick, and the price was cheap
  • Disliked — The service, accomdations, and clientele

I booked this hotel as 3 star from orbitz. I would give it a 1 star.Thas also goes as Americas Best value inn. Lacation is inear downtown, hard to find, around poor condition houses. Most of people who stayed there were alcoholics and smokers. Dirty, dangerous and old poorly renovated hotel. Staff was nice though. I got what I paid for.

Much like some of the other reviewers, I agree this place is a dump and shames the Best Inn chain. The room was dirty, carpet stained, old, and just gross. It was only tolerable for a college student like me because I've been in much worse.

I only took the $90 room because it was during the ND-Tennessee football weekend, and options were limited. It was nice to be closer to downtown, since in theory you could walk home from the bars, but there is nothing else good about this place. Avoid it if you can.

I second the previous reviewers. This place is an absolute DUMP. The Best Inn Company should shut this down!
The hotel advertised as "evergreen", but the brown water spots and black mildew on the bathroom ceiling certainly cannot qualify as "evergreen"! in addition, some cob web is found on the ceiling corners. and I had to wipe the mirror.
The "continental breakfast" consists of coffee and corn flakes. I had to ask for the milk. The guy brought a jug of milk out, stood there, watched me pour the milk, and took the jug of milk back in the office.
I will never never stay there again, and hope that enough readers will do the same.

This place is an absolute dump. The room we stayed in was dirty and run down, and there was this awful moan coming from the water pipes. When my husband phoned the "24 hour front desk" they refused to have someone come up and fix it. The guest in the room above us also was disturbed by the pipes and was also denied service. When we checked in, we said we had reservations for one night, but they tried to charge us for two nights. Absolute disaster... this place should be demolished.
