From the sounds of it, you'd think that Mama Mia Cuisine would be an authentic Italian place. Actually, it's Middle Eastern (based on the music and the decorations), and judging from the numerous items on the menu, you'd think that the place is really jumping. It's not. After going there a few times and being the ONLY guest in the restaurant (with THREE television screens, all of them featuring Sponge Bob Square Pants on every one of my visits--strange), I finally asked whether it's mainly a take-out place, especially given the large delivery containers I'd seen sitting in the lobby of the restaurant near the beading in the doorway. Apparently, Mama Mia sells most of its food to nearby hotel guests (the Holiday Inn is right across the street, and another hotel sits right behind the restaurant). Locals don't seem to know about this place--no wonder, because it's situated down from a Dollar General store where EVERY SINGLE ONE of the parking spots is labeled "10 Minutes Only," and this place is largely hidden from view in a corner at the end of a very long lot. It may be okay for transient hotel guests who don't have much else from which to choose, but I've eaten my last meal there for now.
