“Most food is ok, service is questionable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2011

We've been eating at RS for years. After the first few times it seemed we the service was almost 'snobby', maybe because we were young. But we stopped going for a couple of years but decided to give it another try. Service seemed ok for awhile but now has gone back down. I think one of the owners was the person to seat us and he was very friendly. The waitress was ok but service was very slow. It took forever to get salads and also a long time for our entrees. They weren't super busy so I'm not sure what the problem was. The menu is extensive and they really have something for everyone. The things I've had that were good are: fajitas, sandwiches, salmon, brie chicken(very good) and the mixed grill. I do not like the pizza but that may just be the style of pizza they have. Another big problem with this place is that the prices have went up considerably. I realize that prices have went up everywhere, but you definitely notice it here the most. And this is a casual place, the prices do not really fit in with the atmosphere. After our last expereince I don't know if we'll go back. We like using the 1/2 off coupons there but even with those its still pricier than most other places in the area.

“Giving Chicago crusine a bad name.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2010

Tried it 2 times, thought the first might be a fluke. Food was bland and not even close to authentic. Pizza was some of the worst I have ever had the poor fortune to taste. Again what amounted to ketchup on a sweet roll covered with velveta. Vey high prices and low quality. Never again.

“Fabulous lunch experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2010

A friend and I were cruising for a locally owned restaurant while in Kingsport for a convention and found this one. Portabello mushroom sandwich with roasted red peppers, cheese, onions, lettuce and tomato on ciabetta with basil mayonnaise...really delicious! After we had paid the bill, the waitress offered us "to go" servings of our soft drinks. Lovely place; worth revisiting!

“Long-time Favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2009

This place opened about 25 years ago and is still going strong. Locally owned; specialties are pizza to order, sandwiches, pasta, soups, salads. Appetizers include nachos, deep fried mozzarella, etc. Good family restaurant. Usually not as crowded as the newer ones but just as good. They have a room for seating large groups, and in the summer, you can sit outside on the patio. They used to have live music on weekends, not sure if they stll do but worth checking out.

“Rush Street has had its...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2008

Rush Street has had its ups and downs over the years, but it's definitely in one of its up periods right now. It's a high-quality locally-run restaurant that rivals the many chain eateries in Kingsport.
