“Not bad for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We arrived late at night and were grateful for the great service. Although some of the reviews were not great, our room was comfortable and clean. I had a great night's sleep in my comfy bed. Yes, it does need a lot of upgrading for sure. The furnituer is old and shy on ammenities. We only got 2 towels and 2 face cloths. The motel is run by a young couple who seem to do everything so perhaps for the price a little slack here. They went out of their way to make sure the wifi worked for me and even came to our room. The breakfast was good and enough to get us on our way home. Don't rule this motel out. Yes you can do better up the road but this was the best for the price considering the previous motel we stayed at and paid twice the price.

Room Tip: Take a look at the room before you commit to make sure it is what you want. Ask for discounts.

We pulled off the 175 on our way home from Florida. There was coffee all over the sink and coffee still in the coffee pot. The sheets were dirty. To top it off there was no running water coming out of the shower!!

Stayed 1 night traveling from Florida to Ohio. Nice gal at the front desk. Room was a bit musty smelling, but otherwise neat and clean. Typical selection at continental breakfast. The gal there was friendly, too. Doubt I will ever need to stay in Jellico again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Very affordable and clean as well comfortable. It is an older motel along the I-75 corridor but we found it to be satisfactory. Though we didn't stay for it, a free breakfast is available. It was quiet nod we would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.

Room Tip: Ground level rooms are very nice

This place is absolutely disgusting. Blood stain on drapes, carpet faded musty with burn holes ( in a non smoking room), it smelled so bad we went to the gas station across the street to buy air freshners and left out door open for like an hour to try to air it out. Total disrepair you can tell they don't try to maintain their rooms. The pool looked like a nasty swamp, Don't waste your money! I would never stay here again, I'd rather sleep in my car!

We had a long drive and thought the Indian National Park sounded good to visit as we were driving by so we decided to stop in Jellico and get a room and check out the park. The park is nothing to brag about. But the room at this hotel was mortifying. We found a used syringe in the bathroom and blood sprayed on the bathroom door, on the curtains, walls, outside our room there was 1 large blood stain on the concrete and a smaller one nearby (room 207...fyi). Also, there was old food on the floor, dirty bathroom, bugs in the shower, the list goes on but I'm sure you get the point. My daughter and I wanted to play in the pool but it was green with black and bugs swimming around...it was just cleaned that day. The lady at the front desk acted like she didn't care like it was normal and she gave us a new room. This was very dissapointing. Save your family from diseases and stay at the Day's Inn up the road. It costs a little more, but surely it couldn't be worse. If it hadn't been so late we would have left the town. Don't make the mistake we did and stay at the affordable hotel. The value is not worth the risk for this hotel. The local crowd the hotel attracts is not ideal for a family.
