“Not newly renovated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

If a large flat screen TV and a new coat of paint is what you think a renovation should be, then this is the place for you. Didn't like it but we'd booked thru Wyndham Rewards so we couldn't get our $ back and find a better hotel.
Weird set up on parking lot, had to drive around a Taco Bell to get to parking space.
Weird recliner like you'd have in your house as extra chair in the room.

Stayed July 2014

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and it was 'okay'. When I made the reservation, I indicated we needed a recliner in our room for medical reasons. When we arrived, the room we had been assigned to did NOT have a recliner, so we were relocated. The room had courtyard entry, with plate glass windows. The window sills were covered with dead flies, the drapes were held with only 3 drapery hooks on each side. The small refrigerator had no temperature control and froze everything. However, the worst part of the room, if you can believe it could get worse, was the bathroom. The floor of the bathtub was peeling, exposing filthy patches all over. The toilet ran and ran after flushing. Needless to say, we didn't shower that night, but took sponge baths at the sink. The pool was immaculate...go figure! The desk clerk Louis was accommodating, but I am sure he knew what we were getting. Price was fairly accurate for the area, so it wasn't that this was a fleabag hotel. Such a different experience. WE WILL NOT RETURN.

Room Tip: Do not accept a room poolside. That seems to be the 'dive' side of the hotel

I will not stay again. Though we were told rooms had been renovated they were done so on the cheap. Tubs still needed replacing, new carpet not installed properly and fraying at the door which had a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom. Bed was comfortable enough.

When we pulled in and around back where we were told to park, there were several cars with engines running speaking with young ladies who became rude and aggressive when we asked them to move so we could drive by. You can draw your own conclusions. Ours were not favourable.

To make the point, after dark the lobby is not open and you must conduct business through a window whole standing outside. We were not comfortable on foot so whether there was anything to do or see within walking distance was irrelevant.

Would not recommend this place and especially those with kids. Just didn't feel comfortable. Pay the extra and go to one of the other Jackson exits to a different hotel.

Room Tip: I don't know of there are any. Ours was said to be renovated and was less than good.
