“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Ate here twice while staying at the hotel nearby. First for lunch I simply had the fried green tomato BLT. A big fan of BLT's I thought it was absolutely delicious. The next evening I came in for dinner. Chicken Fried Steak, cornbread stuffing and their corn on the cob ( not sure how it was prepared, almost battered and deep fried??) was one of the best dinners I've ever had.

“Nice variety of meal & vegetable/sides options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

My wife and I have started coming here some recently; they have a different variety of vegetable or sides with meals that is nice. Had their pot roast tonight; tender and very much like your home-style pot roast. Their servers are pretty at tentative and their is a nice atmosphere. I recommend it.

“Great Saturday Brunch.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We had a fund raiser with about 20+ ladies on Saturday and the service, food and accommodations were great! Only one negative - the bathrooms were dirty. aWe advised the hostess and she said she would correct that right away. The quiche was great. I could only eat half the portion was large.

“What the Heck Happened Here?”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

We went twice in the last month, it was BAD each time. It's like a completely different restaurant! The Greatest Waitress in the World no longer works there, and the ones who are left are pretty clueless in their jobs. During the last lunch, when they were not busy at all, we waited TWENTY FIVE minutes from the time we were seated for our WATERS, then twenty more for the food, with no apology from our waitress who seemed devoid of any personality whatsoever. My salmon tasted spoiled, was overcooked and was utterly inedible. I left it untouched after the first taste, and the waitress didn't even ask why. The onion rings, which used to be great, were terribly oversalted on both recent visits. The food was barely warm. Adding insult to injury, our wine glasses were not clean.
There have undoubtedly been some recent changes behind the scenes at the Hendersonville Black Eyed Pea, and it has made it our last visit. Sad

“Consistently good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Consistently good food. Nice clean restaurant. Easy to walk to from the Hendersonville greenway. Average prices and a "no waiting" sign lets you know when its a good time to stop by.
