Rafted the Upper Pigeon River on April 7th, 2011 with Trent as our guide. We had a fantastic time. Ask for Trent! The weather was absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend a wet suit this time of year. The scenery was beautiful.

There is a nice changing facility which looks new. There were plenty of changing rooms and bathrooms as well as showers.

You could rent wet suits for an additional $10 each. They take pictures of you on the river which were $18 a piece or $30 for an entire CD. There were 17 pictures on our CD. Even though I could have taken pictures (I left the water proof camera in the car), I think it was nice to buy the CD and have better pictures. They also sell the same water proof disposable camera that I would have used.

The trip was about 2 hours on the river. It was money well spent.

We had a great SAFE time and our guide, Trent, took excellent care of us, as did the rest of the staff. Would definitely raft with Outdoor Adventures again. There were NO beaver sharks or poisonous eels on our trip.

My husband, Tim or I had neither one been on on a white river rafting trip and had always wanted to go. So, we booked this trip in the off season. We were not guaranteed a water release and did not get one. But, we still got to experience some class III rapids and some drops. We had a great and exciting time. Our guide Chris was very knowledgable of the river and made the trip a blast!! Brook was great as well amd took some cool pictures of us while we were white water rafting...this is a must do if you want to experieince a lot of fun. We are already planning to go back during the regular season.

My family and I took the Lower River ride with Brando, from Outdoor Adventures on August 14th and had a wonderful time! We were traveling with a large group (18 people: 8 on the lower and 10 on the upper) and I must say the staff was patient and accommodating. Our guide was experienced in the water, which was reassuring since we had small kids (ages 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7). The children had a “ball”, especially in the bumpy areas. The ride on the lower river was very relaxing for the most part (so much so, my little one fell asleep)! :o) I must say I can’t wait until my little ones are bigger, so we can go on the upper river. The rest of my family, who went on the upper river told us how great it was. Overall I think this is a great experience and would definitely do it again. One thing I did find out is, because of Outdoor Adventures’ location, they have the longest lower river ride and the shortest upper river ride. As for the facilities, the changing areas and restrooms were not 5-star but considering they were “outside”, they did the job.
