The guide was very knowledgable and this tour is perfectly matched with the Carter House and Carnton Plantation tour, all within a mile of each other.

“Tour of Lotz House at Franklin Battlefield”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

This tour was an excellent choice for anyone wanting to know more about the battle of Franklin during the Civil War--the bloodiest five hours of the war. The tour leader was so passionate about the subject, that he brought it all to life! This is a great tour in conjunction with the tours of the Carter House and Carnton Plantation, but if you can't do all three, be sure to do this and the Carter House which is right across the street.

“Tour of the Lotz House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

This is was a great family experience. The antiques were beautiful and the details about life back then were very interesting. The tour guide (Mrs. Jean) was very good. She had great knowledge of the Lotz House. Everyone was very nice and generous. The gift shop was good too. We have lived in Franklin for a very long time and our experience to the Lotz house has given us even more reason to love this town.

“Tour of Lotz House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Visited the Lotz House while in Franklin this week. This tour was an amazing journey back in time to the battle of Franklin. The Tour Guide, Thomas Cartwright was the best I've ever listened to. He had an ability to transport you into the minds and hearts of the people in 1864.... Best time ever.

“Very interesting history!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Lotz house if full of history, especially civil war, but I love seeing all the artifacts of the time period. The tour guide and the gift shop attendant were very warm, friendlly and available for questions. It is within walking distance of bed and breakfasts, restaurants and the downtown area. All in all the visit to Franklin was one of our favorites!
