“Good ribs and veggies, average barbeque, good value with a coupon!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

First time visit, ordered the sampler platter for $12.99 so I could get more than one of their meats and expected it to have enough food that I would have some left to take home. Not the case, I ate it all! Its not that it was great, it just wasn't as much food as I was expecting. The ribs were the best part of the meal, better taste and meatier than most casual dining restaurants (Logans, Fridays, Chilis, Applebees, etc). The barbeque pork was a little disappointing as they didn't take the time in seperating the fat and gristle from the meat, they just chopped it all up and mixed a light sauce in with it for serving. The chicken tenders were a little tough and dry. The slaw and baked beans were good. Overall, a good food experience but just a little more expensive than it should be. I had a buy one get one free coupon and thats the only reason I felt satisfied with the value I got. I will go back, but I wouldn't pay their regular menu prices for any of their plate meals.

“Glad we ordered extra!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2011

BBQ pork really good, great value. Sides were all very good. Stay away from the chocolate cobbler, best for kids under 10! You do get a good amount of food for the money spent. Great for leftovers!

“$32.00 spent and it did not feed four”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2007

We ordered a sampler family meal to go on our first visit to Shane's Rib Shack. The Sampler family meal cost over $32.00 with tax. It was very disappointing to discover upon opening the parcels of food at home that the meal was not enough family of four. The description of the sampler feast makes it sounds like it would serve at least 4. However, the feast only included 2 slices of bread and 4 side items in very tiny containers that seemed to hold approximately 1/4 cup. It just felt so strange to receive just 2 slices of bread and such tiny side dishes for all the meat that was included in this meal. This would probably be a good meal for someone on a protein diet. The quality of the food was also disappointing. The chicken tenders were tough, the two butter coated bread were soggy, and the baby back ribs contained a lot of fat.
