This is a great hotel with a beautiful atrium and a nice fountain in the lobby. The rooms are spacious, being suites, with a door separating the bedroom from the living room for privacy. The sofa bed in the living room was actually comfortable, unlike most sofa beds you find in hotel rooms. The pillows and duvets on the beds were nice and soft. All of the rooms in this hotel look out onto the atrium, but there were no issues with noise, even with a wedding reception with a live band downstairs, we didn't hear a thing. The manager's reception from 5:30 to 7:30 offers a full bar - complimentary wine, mixed drinks and beer - with a variety of snacks. And they used glasses - no cheap plastic cups here. Likewise, the breakfast uses nice cutlery and dishes, no plastic. The cook to order omelet bar was fantastic. Choose your fillings and the cooks have it ready in no time, along with delicious salsa, bacon or sausage. They also offer all the usual breakfast buffet offerings - eggs, cereals, fruit, pastries etc with a nice variety of juices. The staff we encountered at this hotel were all first rate - friendly, helpful and professional. All in all a great experience staying at this hotel!

Date: February 29th, 2008.

Myself and another teacher traveled 4 hours from Morristown, TN on a school bus that kept breaking down with 30 teenagers for a tournment at Ravenwood High School. Our main goal was to get to the hotel, eat lunch and then be off to our competition by 3 on Friday, Feb. 29th. Instead we were told our rooms would not be ready and that we would not be able to eat in the lobby of the hotel. I can understand hotel policy about eating in the lobby, however, our bus was broken down and we had no other choice. We were on a limited schedule, we had a broken bus and 30 hungry teenagers. I spoke with Michael Rook who was not willing to budge in any way. He suggested we take one of the ten rooms that we had ready and rotate 30 children and 4 adults in the room to eat and change in a very short amount of time. After asking him if there was the possibility of using the shuttle to get us to Ravenwood his response was that it was out of the travel radius.

The next morning we asked for a late check out for myself and the bus driver. We told the lady at the desk the sitution-I am pregnant and having some serious heath issues- she had no compassion and said the best she could do was 1:00 and not to ask for any other rooms to get the late check out.

I am very disappointed with the lack of human compassion from the employees of the Embassy Suites at Cool Springs. The only redeeming quality is a young girl named Stevie who worked at the front desk and told us that she was embarrassed by the way the hotel was treating us. She is the reason we were able to eat in the hotel lobby. I sure hope that she was not repromanded for that. I will not be bringing any more of my large groups along with my large check to your facility.

Sincerely,

Lisa Biery

We recently stayed at this hotel and had the worst experience of my career. We booked 10 rooms for one night and were treated horrible from the moment we walked in until we left. We notified the manager upon booking that we would need some of our rooms prior to the 3:00 check in and were told that should not be a problem. They had one room ready for 30 students to eat and get ready in before 3:00. By far the worst part of the hotel stay was when I explained that one of our coaches was having complications with her first trimester of pregnancy and we would like a late check out. The young lady at the front desk yelled at me and told me not to ask for any other rooms for late check out.
While the hotel itself is clean and nice, I felt that Michael Rook, the assistant manager, down to lady at check out Saturday morning had no regard what so ever for the human being involved. I think the dollar is more important here, or at least that is the message we were sent over and over. I will not only never stay here again, I will let everyone I know to avoid this horrible place.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites for one night for business. This is my second stay there in the past few months. Check-in was a breeze, but when I got to my room I determined it had not be turned. The front desk very quickly moved me to the concierge level. The new room was spacious and clean. The included breakfast is very good and very fast. All in all a very good stay and I will certainly book there in the future.

I stayed at the 8-10 story full service Embassy Suites for one Saturday night during a recent road trip with the team I coach. While the hotel is a little pricey, it is definitely worth it if you use all the amenities they provide. This hotel has definitely provided a higher level of service then most.

LOCATION:
This particular version was on Cool Springs Road off of Interstate 65 in Franklin Tennessee about 20 minutes south of Nashville. It was conveniently located 5 minutes away from a hockey rink we were playing at, a mall, and a host of other restaurants.

ROOM:
The room was a large suite partitioned off into three sections, a large bathroom, bedroom, and living room. Multiple TV's, desks, and a couch gave everyone privacy. The decor was nice but I would say a bit mis-aligned. The bathroom definitely did not have any sense of cohesion with the patterns of the tile, counter=top, door, wall-paper, or curtain, however the color tones tried to tied it all together. In the rest of the room, the carpet to me, was basic stock color and pattern that I felt could use an upgrade for aesthetics. Cleanliness was definitely a priority for these folks since I only witnessed some grout in one corner of the bathroom.

AMENITIES:
Here is another area they set the bar high. Free cocktails from 5 to 7pm daily. GOOD! A large full service sports bar directly in the hotel common area (home to local FSU and Ohio State Fan clubs) GOOD! Extremely large and free buffet with an abundance of food both cold and made to order GOOD! Hi-Speed Wireless GOOD! Large lobby with TV's through out, reminded me of the time of the full-service hotels back in the late 80's before all the express hotels. Large indoor swimming pool.

PRICE:
After tax it was $158 for the night so I probably paid $50 more then staying a one of the other local brands. It was nice regardless and would pay it again (maybe not every time) but I will consider Embassy Suite for my future when options are comparable.

Obviously nothing is free considering the price, but since I'm going to spend the money when I get to a hotel for a few drinks and some food, I might as well pay for it up front so that I feel good not having to pay for it all bit by bit.

Definitely worth it if.
