“Nice Casual Mexican and fresh but just ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

I really enjoyed it here the first couple of times I went but the service was sporatic the last couple of times and the food has taken a while to come out. The fish tacos are very good along with the Enchalidas. One thing that errks me is they have been charging $6 for a bottle of Pellegrino for a 1liter bottle.. THe bottle is actually a half a liter and they still try to charget that amount. Been in three times and told management but they still keep putting that charge.. You would think they would A. Get the right size bottles B. Change the size and price on menu or C. Don't charge or sell it any longer.. Also, quirky.. I had a water bottle that i bring with me to drink when its hot or from home.. I wanted to grab lunch with family on the patio outside and they don't allow drinks from the outside?? It was water.. So good food (Not typical mexican) and service slow plus mgt a little quirky.

“New Mexican Cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Sopapilla's has one of the best patios in the Cool Springs area. Their chips and salsa are good and they offer numerous vegetarian an gluten free options. The best is the basket of sopapillas and honey that they provide for dessert.

“Great food, poor service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012 via mobile

Food is amazing. The shrimp tacos are the best. Guacamole is really good as well. But, service is horrible. If the service matched the food, this place would be my favorite local restaurant.

“Every meal ends with warm sopapillas!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

Casual, nice mexican restaurant (not dirty mexican). Good salads, large portions. Great skinny margarita.

“A good date night Mexican restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I went to Sopapillas for happy hour on a Friday night. The chips are complimentary which is unusual for a "nicer" Mexican restaurant. We started with a skinny margarhita (lots of ice but strong) and Queso which was delicious. I am a vegetarian and there were not a lot of options but they do have veggie tacos. They were ok. My husband got the stuffed sopapilla and said it was good. The free sopapilla at the end was a real treat. Prices are steep. Very mixed crowd including a large table of loud childen. The atmosphere is nice although the building is located in an apartment complex.
