First of all, these folks are about as friendly as you could ask for in any restaurant. So many people tell everybody how 'friendly' the South is, but these folks aren't southern. Not so's you'd notice anyway. I understand Sal came from the North and he's got time to talk and visit and tell you stories about learning the trade...
As for the pizza, which is the other half of the story- well, we've tried a lot of pizza in the town of Franklin, and this beats all. Most of our friends prefer the mushroom place downtown, but I'd take Sal's any day of the week over that one. Prices are great as well, and the place is just so.....Pizza.
Sal makes your pizza for you, or has taught his makers how he does it, so it is very consistent.....
And Gina takes your order! Yes! Gina is a real part of the whole ambiance of the place.
That old saying about how the cooking is all that matters and the atmosphere doesn't count simply isn't true...and these folks all combine to make the food and the atmosphere a place where Pizza is king.
This is our 'Go To' place for Pizza in this town.
You have to just go there.
