The Daily Dish is a meat and three. In case you don't know what a meat and three is, it is a restaurant that allows you to choose one meat and three vegetables from a daily changing menu. The daily dish is a classic meat and three in that you pick your dishes cafeteria style. What is not classic is the quality and diversity of the meat dishes and the vegetables offered. Also, if you are not into a meat and three plate they have salads and sandwiches that are fantastic. We eat here several times a week and the food is always great to excellent. The atmosphere is homey and the place usually crowded, so we often get take out. For take out, you can call in your order and your food will be waiting for you when you arrive. Weekdays at the Daily Dish are great but for a real treat, go for the Sunday Brunch. The menu is transformed to a high end brunch and the food just as excellent as during the week. You will not leave hungry. For travelers to middle Tennessee, The Daily Dish may be just a little off the beaten path but it is well worth the detour. It is just about 30 minutes south west of Nashville in the community of Grassland. It is close to Franklin TN and Liepers Fork, both quant places that are well worth visiting and it is close to the Natchez Trace scenic parkway. Go to the Daily Dish for Brunch, take a relaxing drive down the Trace and stop for a hike at one of the scenic overlooks to work off some of the extra pounds you acquired at Brunch.
