“It was just okay...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

The waitress was not real friendly. The food was edible, but nothing that I would really recommend to others. While we were eating, they put out some buckets in the middle of the aisle, we're not sure what was dripping, but we thought it might be from the air conditioning. It was not very appealing. I would definitely not recommend the chopped steak! It was small and dry with nothing on it. If they had tried to dress it up with onions, mushrooms and peppers, it would have been much better than it sitting there like a dried up hamburger pattie. The fried chicken was cooked well, but the breading was bland with no seasoning. I'm thinking if you go, you should order the chicken & dumplings or pot pie. Others seemed to think those choices were good. Hope they take these reviews seriously so that they make improvements.

“Close to home”

Nice place to eat. The view is great, an apple orchard with horses walking through it. They always give you apple juice and apple fritters with your meal so you always leave full.

“Anything Apple!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

We visited the Orchard very late one night actually right at closing. Just taking a ride from our campground decided to stop in because of all the signs. We thought we could just look around. Fortunately we walked in the restaurant and upon asking what we could get before they closed were guided to the very quick and warm "Fried Apple Pie". The hostess was very quick and happy to accomodate us. The fried pie was excellent and resulted in us making the decision to go back the next day. We then had a chance to explore the candy store and market. There lots of candy and things to choose from in the candy store and everything apple in the market! Plenty of fruits and vegetables, jams, butters, relish etc. I was very pleased with the many items that were offered. Of course we couldn't pass up on another Fried Apple Pie. We also got many bags of apples to bring back home to MD. There is over 60 acres of apple trees with free roaming horses all over the place. It was very nice. Prices are reasonable as well. I would recommend anyone in the area to at least stop in. We also glanced at the menu and it offered cider, and many sides with the breakfast. We were offered a take out menu the first night and invited to come back. Everyone in the restaurant where we payed for everything was very friendly. We couldn't have been more pleased with the place it was very beautiful with lots to offer. I can't give it 5 stars because we didn't eat there but I bet if we did I could! Very nice down home looking restaurant and market. It's nice to see some of America's beauty still being offered for the public with great customer service. The market was a little chaotic as it was busy but nothing you can't get past. Good USA example of kindness and beauty!

“Great Country Cooking”

The restaurant was great. We were a little dissappointed with the produce market and the gift and candy store. The view is beautiful.
