“Ok, but not up to special speed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2011

We tried this place out because they ran a 2for1 Groupon special. I had seen the place before as it is near our house but never tried it. One reason is they use to have a tacky inflatable man outside on the street with their name on it.

Maybe it isn't fair to judge based on this visit, since they seem to have been overwhelmed. I doubt that I will go back. There were several other first time customers waiting in line when I arrived to PU our order. The web page didn't indicate they had seating so we did take out.

Even though I could see our order sitting on the counter with our name, it took over 15 mins to pay and get out the door. When we ordered they said they were out of several menu choices.

They basically prepare in advance 4-5 main dishes and you choose one of them and 2 sides. The food is kept in warmers covered in foil and they put it on the plates or in a take out box as you order. More like a mini Piccadilly except that you see the food on display.

We had fried chicken and hamburger steak dinners. The chicken came with only one piece of chicken. For the price, that seems too little food, but probably works for those who need to be on a diet. The main dishes were tasty and ok but the sides were below average. They do seem to be home made but after sitting in warmers for hours were soggy. The rolls came from Kroger or some other grocery, out of a plastic bag!

The seating they do have is pretty basic, and the girl who runs the cash register was also the waitress. We heard several customers complaining about service, but again I will give them a pass on this since they obviously didn't expect to have so many respond to their advertisement.
