My wife and I stayed here on two legs of our trip. We were in different handicapped accessible rooms on each visit. When we arrived there was hot coffee and cookies at the check-in. Both rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was adequate, the coffee wasn't bad; but its only a few steps to the adjacent Waffle House if you want more. The staff was very friendly.

The first handicapped room was on the second floor. The toilet had a hand bar behind the toilet tank which for our needs was not adequate. We need hand bars on one side of the toilet and the toilet was far enough from the wall and the vanity that there absolutely nothing to assist.

Our second handicapped room was on the first floor. The bathroom had more decor and more importantly the toilet was next to the wall with hand bars on the wall. It was a good configuration.

It was also adjacent to two of the lowest priced gas stations in the region (market changes effect prices so this may not always be true).

We liked the facility and the staff and probably will stop here again.

Quick in and out business trip to Cookeville and decided to get my "ducks in a row" (TV commercial for La Quinta) and try it out. I was not dissappointed. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean as was the rest of the facility. Internet service was good. The breakfast looked typical for a motel in this range but I decided to walk across the parking lot to the Waffle House for breakfast. Short distance to several eating establishment and easy on and off access to the highway. I would stay here again and may try another La Quinta in the future.
