We stayed one night at the Hampton Inn Columbia to participate in the Southern Fried Fest. We contacted the hotel directly to reserve our room. When we told them we were vendors for the Southern Fried Fest they gave us $10.00 off which was a nice blessing.
The hotel is right off of I-65 so it was very easy to find. But it is about 6 miles away from the center of town. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but something to be aware of if you need to be close to town.
Check-in was super fast and the staff was friendly. The hallways and common areas were clean and smelled nice.
Our room was comfortable and clean. The beds were some brand of pillow top and easy to sleep on and the pillows were nice and fluffy. The comforter was fluffy and comfortable too.
They offered complimentary Internet access with a pass code you receive at check in. The TV had about 70 channels and 1 movie channel. They had a small lap desk so you could sit on the bed and get some work done. (My son's used it to eat on)
The bathroom was average, but clean. There were 4 bath towels, which was nice. So many places only give you 3 and then you have to ask for more. There were bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion and 2 bars of soap.
The complimentary breakfast consisted of: sausage, biscuits, French toast sticks, bagels, muffins, pastries, cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee, milk and fresh fruit. It was well stocked and fresh.
They also have an outdoor pool and a small exercise room which we didn't use.
Overall it was a good nights stay. We would stay here again.
