“Good Stay - Clean Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We stayed in a suite for 8 days when in Clarksville for the birth of a grandchild. Stayed again for 2 nights on another visit. Unlike many hotels that use the word "suite" very loosely, at this hotel, the "suite" is 2 fully separate rooms with a door between, fully separating the sleeping area from the living area. There is a small alcove in the living area that contains a small refrigerator, microvave, and bar sink. No utensils or dishes. Hotel is clean. Vanity (large) is outside the bathroom (small) which I prefer. Breakfast is well above average for this price hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nothing fancy, but a good stay. Would definitely stay again.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. From check-in to check-out, I felt like I was staying with favorite family members. We were given a room on the 4th floor (top level). The room was near the elevator but we never heard any noise. Our room was as we had requested -King - no smoking. The room was well lit, had a microwave and fridge. The linens were fresh and clean and the room was straightened and swept each day. The towels were fluffy and seemed new.
The breakfast each morning was wonderful. There were items the same every day but the hot items changed slightly each morning we were there. The biscuits were hot and flakey, make your own Belgium waffles, some type of egg (srambled, hard boiled, and cheese omlets while we were there), we also enjoyed sausage links and Canadian bacon, The usual choices of cold cereal, toast, Danish and croissants. It was a wonderful surprise to dine on real plates, bowls, coffe cups and silverware for 2 of the days. Sunday had throw away serveware-there was only 1 staff member then so maybe it was because of the smaller staff. The servers were always very cheerful and took time to speak to customers like they were family.
The bed was very comfortable. There were 2 pillows per guest which were a little hard but not entirely uncomfortable.
We were very happy with our visit and will definately stay if we are in the area again.
The only thing that would make our stay more enjoyable would be if the chain would become pet friendly. (Though I did observe family sneak their dog out one morning)

Room Tip: They all seemed to be good.

The lobby is very well presented, and in good shape. My husband, daughter, and I stayed here on our way home from Florida. The hotels we wanted to stay at were booked, so we crossed the street to check on this hotel. We read the reviews and felt comforatble staying here based on what we had read. So, we went ahead and reserved a room here and checked in. We stayed in a king suite. The positives to this room were: the suite was spacious, and a it had a comfortable bed. The negatives: the shower curtain had an overpowering urine smell, there were several stains on the carpets and furniture (I didn't even want to sit on any piece of furniture due to the stains), blood stains on the drapes, the blanket for the pull out couch bed smelled horribly bad, the water did not stay at a constant tempurate through the duration of a shower, the faucet handle was installed backwards (cold was hot and hot was cold), I had never seen so much damage done to the walls of a room, the lock on the door was very difficult to operate, and the room was not inviting at all. I can honestly say in my adult life, I've only stayed at 2-3 hotels I have been more upset with. I am a world traveler and travel many times during the year through the United States. If my daughter was not as tired as she was, we would have checked out. To top it off, we payed over $100 for the night! For the amount we payed, this room was completely unacceptable. My advice, go elsewhere...

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

After a long day on the road...we stopped at the Country Inn for the night. We had found a discount coupon for $77.00 [add $5.00 for Saturday and Sunday...we were there on a Saturday] in one of the hotel coupon books found at gas stations/rest stops. Since many of the hotels in Tennessee seemed to have external entry doors and I have never been a fan of that option...we were happy to see that the Country Inn had internal corridors. We got checked in and went up to our room. We had a king sized bed room with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and wifi internet. We arrived later in the evening and were just wanting to relax after a long day on the road with our newborn, so we didn't wander the hotel much. The lobby is quite large and nicely decorated with high cathedral ceilings. They have a computer and printer in the lobby area for guests, a TV, couches, fireplace and even a bookshelf with books you can borrow to read and return when finished. I also noticed that they had a nice looking pool area. There are lots of other motels [I call them motels because they had external entry doors. Lol.] in the area, lots of restuarants-both eat-in or take-out, a Walmart and gas stations, etc. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was quite expansive: biscuits, egg patties, bacon, gravy [for the biscuits], cereals, oatmeal and yogurt with all the fixings, coffees, breads, bagels, croissants, pastries and milk. You also had the option to get disposible plates/plasticware to take it back to your room which is what we did. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have laundry rooms on each floor. The grounds were well-groomed and guest-friendly. This is a completely smoke-free property. It was a nice and comfortable stay and the internet worked well. If we'd ever pass through that way again...we'd choose that property. It was definitely the nicest looking one in the area.

Room Tip: This is a 4-story property with only one elevator which is centrally located. So, if you are physica...

We flew to Clarksville to help our daughter prepare for deployment to Afghanistan--stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. Therefore, we wanted only the essentials in a hotel, i.e., comfortable, clean, reasonably priced, and centrally located. This one met all the criteria. However, their "free" breakfast was of poor quality, particularly the "cheese omelette," which was obviously of the packaged variety. Not only did it taste bad, it was served barely warm. On the last morning I ate there, they ran out of oatmeal (most likely "instant"). The attendant prepared another batch, but served it watery and slightly warm. This was the "last straw." I stayed there 6 nights, but ate there only twice, proving once again "There is no such thing as a free [breakfast]."

Room Tip: Plenty of good restaurants surrounding this hotel. Eat at any of them. Do NOT eat at this hotel un...

We found this motel to have clean rooms, good breakfast and courteous employees. Plenty of restaurants across the street and shopping nearby. I would recommend this motel to my freinds, worth the money and value perceived.

Room Tip: Room was clean, room was quiet and we had quality check in.

We stayed here on the way home from our florida vacation to visit relatives that live in clarksville TN. This hotel is dated, has a slight musty smell and needs repairs, but room was decent.

A few things I noticed that were in need of repair were: on our floor when getting off elevator, window coverings were missing and rod was still up, our room had holes in the wall where the curtain tie backs of yesteryear once were bolted in the wall and left a huge hole, no one bothered to patch the drywall and repaint. There was an electrical outlet that was in disrepair. Door lock from the bedroom to the living area did not work.

Our 1 bedroom suite had a 'kitchenette', a spot for a stove it looked like with no stove. a mini fridge, I don't remember seeing a table and chairs.

The front desk staff, breakfast staff were all very friendly and helpful, although the breakfast was 'okay'. It would have been nicer to have more hot selections.

Beds were clean and comfortable and the bedroom was huge with two Queen Beds with a door that closed to the living area. Bathroom was kind of dingy. Noticed a litle mold in the shower. They did have Pantene products which was nice. Kitchen seemed kind of dark and dingy.

This hotel was 'okay' for a night, but no way would I want to spend a week here.

We paid $138 for the night, including taxes. I think it was $121 before tax for a one bedroom suite.
