After a long day on the road...we stopped at the Country Inn for the night. We had found a discount coupon for $77.00 [add $5.00 for Saturday and Sunday...we were there on a Saturday] in one of the hotel coupon books found at gas stations/rest stops. Since many of the hotels in Tennessee seemed to have external entry doors and I have never been a fan of that option...we were happy to see that the Country Inn had internal corridors. We got checked in and went up to our room. We had a king sized bed room with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and wifi internet. We arrived later in the evening and were just wanting to relax after a long day on the road with our newborn, so we didn't wander the hotel much. The lobby is quite large and nicely decorated with high cathedral ceilings. They have a computer and printer in the lobby area for guests, a TV, couches, fireplace and even a bookshelf with books you can borrow to read and return when finished. I also noticed that they had a nice looking pool area. There are lots of other motels [I call them motels because they had external entry doors. Lol.] in the area, lots of restuarants-both eat-in or take-out, a Walmart and gas stations, etc. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was quite expansive: biscuits, egg patties, bacon, gravy [for the biscuits], cereals, oatmeal and yogurt with all the fixings, coffees, breads, bagels, croissants, pastries and milk. You also had the option to get disposible plates/plasticware to take it back to your room which is what we did. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have laundry rooms on each floor. The grounds were well-groomed and guest-friendly. This is a completely smoke-free property. It was a nice and comfortable stay and the internet worked well. If we'd ever pass through that way again...we'd choose that property. It was definitely the nicest looking one in the area.
