Do not be fooled by the location - the owners of this hot dog stand consistently serve wonderful Chicago style hot dogs (and, yes, other styles and food items) made to order. They have received some of the highest health inspection scores since they opened and are also super nice people (but none of that would matter if the food was not also excellent). Their potato soup and potato salad (depending on the season) are tasty. When they hand you the bag with your order, in addition to the food you ordered, it ALWAYS contains 2 Tootsie Rolls, 2 napkins, and a salt packet and silverware if you ordered the homemade potato salad or soup. The only menu item that did not seem to measure up was the tamale - it seemed more like a frozen food item than homemade. This is one of the local food establishments that I always recommend to people who are new to the area.

Let's be hones, Chi town is far above the best place in Clarksville to get a dog. Having said that, I wouldn't call it a restraunt in the true sense of the word. Drive thru with a couple of concrete tables under a tarp. Yep, that's it. Great when the weather is nice or if you want take home.
The hot dogs cannot be beat. I eat here frequently and have had the dogs, the brats, the tamales, just about everything they serve. The mozzeralla dog is awesome, the brats are cooked perfectly and the flavor is out of this world. Service is always great and the owners really seem to enjoy the work. There's always a litte something special in the bag for you and a big smile.
Beware, it's cash only.

For a shack in the parking lot of Big Lots, you would not expect much. But what you get is a great Hot dog, for an even better price. Chili is good enough to eat alone.

Never had a better hot dog in my life! Food is great, health dept. scores can't be beat & the staff is so friendly! My favorite place to eat in Clarksville!
