Pleasant but nothing special. It is a nice place to spend the day and have a picnic that is not a long drive for us.

“A nice place to hike!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We recently went there on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The cave is currently closed to visitors due to an endangered bat issue. We did enjoy the views & she was able to take a lot of beautiful pictures of the lake & outside the cave. It's all free and there is a small museum of sorts that has some stuffed animals & such. She got a kick out of one of the exhibits had a chipmunk skull that had been hit by a car. A little morbid, but a chance to talk about safety!!

“Neat place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Nature and history collide. Take the time to learn about the historic as well as the more recent history of the area. Interesting stuff and a nice family friendly area. We will visit again.

“Good walking paths”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

The area that includes the actual cave, has a nice walking path with lots of flowers and water life. To view the cave, reservations are required, and bring your own flashlight. There is a lot of stooping and narrow passages to go through. not recommeded for young children. But older children and adults will find that the cave walk is an excellent tour.

“Pretty”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

Like the wildlife. Very pretty area with a nice hiking trail but the actual cave is closed to the public. Bring a camera and bug spray!
