We stayed here Thursday night, August 22, 2013. We knew we were heading toward Chattanooga on our road trip and looked up campsites on TripAdvisor. We called ahead and made sure there was availability. Upon arrival the staff was courteous and professional. The young guy who checked us in was quick and friendly; and answered all of our questions. The campground was easy to get in and out of--as we set up our tent before nightfall, and then headed to get a few things for the evening. The grounds were clean. The bathrooms were clean. The pool is really nice. We did not take advantage of the caves or any of the recreational options. However, for a quick campsite off of the interstate but NOT ON the interstate--this is a great option.

Thank you very much for staying on our campground and I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Both the cave and campground have an exceptional location just 1.3 miles off of I-24 at the Lookout Valley exit. Close enough to make it a quick on / off (and especially because it is an uncongested exit) but far enough away so as not to be bothered by the road noise.

The bathrooms are checked and cleaned throughout the day but, as is the case with virtually all public restrooms, they are only as clean as the last person who uses them leaves them. That is why it is important on our part to keep them checked on a regular basis throughout the day.
I am sorry that you schedule did not permit enough time to visit the cave, as it is quite beautiful and full of unique and diverse natural formations. I do, however, appreciate your taking the time to provide your thoughts and I will be sure to pass them along to the campground manager and his staff. Thanks again for staying with us!
