“Great Park wtih a lot to do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

A lot of fun. Great place to have a picnic and or explore. On the banks for the Tennessee river which offers great views of the city across the way. There a trails, fountains (that kids can run though), carosel's and plenty of room play catch and or have a picnic. At the foot of the Walnut Street Bridge - so restaurants, ice cream shops, shops and various other things to do prior to and or after a visit to this gem.

“Something for Everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

This river front park is a popular Chattanooga green zone. The carousel is a big draw for both children and adults! There are cool shops and restaurants on the edge of the park. The community menorah lighting during Hanukkah was held here.

“Great park by the riverside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

Great park by the riverside. Parking fee is reasonable $1 for 2 hours and even free from 4:30 pm on Saturday till 7:30 on Monday. At the summertime kids can play in the small fountains in front of the old timey - Paris inspired - classic carousel. The park is located across TN Aquarium and Art district. And if you staying with kids in historical Delta Queen steamboat hotel, it's a great place for them to unwind their energy.

“Part of a great weekend in downtown area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

Downtown Chattanooga is a great weekend for the family. The old historic bridge connects downtown with this park across the river and all I can say is ‘It’s worth walking over.’
The 100 year old pedestrian bridge itself is an attraction and rolling our stroller across was easy. We had been at the aquarium and ‘great for younger ages’ children’s museum over the weekend and going to the other side of the river was very nice. The section of town over there is quaint and artsy I guess, and the park is expansive and has several sculpted pieces that are interesting. Our kids loved the indoor carousel and the water area outside of it. The view of downtown from across the river is nice also.
If you are visiting downtown you should walk over. It’s free and scenic!
