My husband, two dogs, and I stayed at the Residence Inn for one night on our way to Florida. The hotel was in a great location and close to area restaurants. The room was outdated. Furniture stained, carpet torn up, and old appliances. Our toilet stopped working in the middle of the night. We did not notify the front desk as it was the middle of the night and we had our dogs in the room. There is a breakfast buffet included with your stay. Overall, a so-so stay.

I have stayed at this residence in three or four times in the last few months. I used to stay in the Rad House (Sheraton) until it became almost impossible to book a reservation there - and I had a disasterous experience the last visit. So I stay in a cheaper place with a snack at night and breakfast bar in the morning. As a frequent traveller who gets paid a flat "per diem" for travel expenses, I appreciate starting with a hot breakfast and not just a continental one. Security is good. Downside is you have to call into the front desk to park each time you come in, and parking is probably limited. Snacks at night are not a real meal, but add to the value. Helpful staff

“Great Location!”

Residence Inn Chattanooga Downtown

Great location, convenient to the aquarium and Children's Discovery Musum. The room we stayed in was worn but clean, breakfast was good on the first morning but they ran out of milk on the second day so did not put out the cereal (which my 2 year old had enjoyed). The pool was closed for the 3 days we were there, were directed to the Courtyard across the street to use their pool. Didn't have hot water twice when we showered, called the front desk and both times they told us they weren't aware of a problem but that they'd send maintenance (never showed). All in all a good stay but lack of hot water would make us think twice about booking a room here again.

Location, location, location! What a GREAT location to enjoy Chattanooga. This hotel is located right next door to the IMAX, a short, short walk to the Aquarium, just across the street from the free shuttle station and a stone's throw from the Children's Discovery Museum. It's right behind (or in front of, depending on your orientation) the ballpark, but amazingly quiet and serene in spite of being located so close to all of the Chattanooga waterfront "energy." The staff were fantastic -- very helpful. The suite was clean, and the common areas were very pleasant and well maintained. Indoor pool is very small but seemed very clean and we did not ever see it "crowded" even though the hotel was full up. There's just too much else to do in the area and if you stay here, you can easily run up to your room for a quick rest and not feel like you are wasting precious vacation time.
